Survey from Croydon Council about a possible new food market
Croydon Council are looking at setting up a new food market, and have launched this survey asking where it should be, what it should offer and when it should operate.
I personally think a hot foot market on the southern end of Surrey Street, where there aren’t many vendors currently would be a good shout.

The Croydon Project: Public Spaces Workshop for Women and Non-Binary people
I am on the mailing list for the Croydon Project (Westfields never-ending regeneration project) and have just received this email. I am a man so can’t participate but thought I would pass this on incase there are any Women or Non-Binary folk who may be interested in attending this, as it seems like it might be valuable:
The Croydon Project is the mixed-use regeneration of Croydon town centre to restore it as the economic and creative capital of South London.
Our ambition is to be a catalyst for a modern, mixed-use town centre with new homes, generous public spaces and a richer mix of shops, restaurants and leisure that offers twenty-four hour activity, safety and enjoyment.
Publica is currently working with URW as part of The Croydon Project to help shape future public spaces in Croydon town centre.
As part of this work, Publica is running a two-hour creative workshop to better understand women and non-binary people’s experiences of the area. The session will explore the challenges people face, places that may feel unsafe or difficult to use, as well as what makes the town centre special and what people would like to see more of in the future.
What we’re asking from you
We are looking for 15 women and non-binary people from a wide range of backgrounds to attend a workshop on Tuesday 21 July, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
The session will include a short site walk, group discussion and creative workshop activities, giving you the opportunity to share your experiences and ideas for improving public spaces in Croydon town centre.
What we are offering you
Taking part is an opportunity to be involved in shaping future projects aimed at improving safety in the local area.
As a thank you for your time, each participant will receive a £30 retail voucher which will be emailed to you after the workshop.
How to get involved
You will need to register your interest before 14th July by filling out form below:

We will follow up with all confirmed participants with more details around a week before the event, so please keep an eye on your emails.
