Do you think Jaques is ever going to figure out he can't cast a spell as his action and his bonus action?

From the player's handbook:

"A spell cast with a bonus action is especially swift. You must use a bonus action on your turn to cast the spell, provided that you haven't already taken a bonus action this turn. You can't cast another spell during the same turn, except for a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action*."*

Ultimately it's up to Tater as a DM (he's doing so great this season!) but since he seems to be aspiring to get a little more evil, I'm wondering if he's going to start enforcing rules like this.

He could also get really evil and say that the players can't long rest after every encounter (or in Jaque's case, every time he uses a single spell slot or bardic inspiration).

Edit: I was wrong about this rule, the 2024 edition reads:

"On a turn, you can only expend one spell slot to cast a spell. This rule means you can't, for example, cast a spell with a spell slot using the Magic action and another one using a bonus action on the same turn."

My question remains though, since I swear Jaques has used multiple spell slots a turn, both this season and last (for instance, casting polymorph and healing word in the same turn).

I'm a fucking idiot

All I wanted to do was loosen up the screws on my new guitar so I could get the annoying bits of plastic out.

Now my pickups so high that the strings won't play and I can't lower it because I managed to damage the screws by using the wrong screwdriver.

Best book for a 16yo boy?

My brother says he wants a book for his birthday, so obviously I'm thinking Pratchett.

So far my main ideas are Mort or Small Gods, but I'm not sure if I'm missing something obvious here. Maybe Rincewind is the way to go?

(He hasn't read anything in a couple of years so I don't have high hopes that he'll actually read it, but I'm thinking of hiding a £20 inside to incentivise him.)

Edit: thanks for the suggestions everyone! I've decided to go with my first instinct and get him Mort.

Innuendos you didn't understand first time around?

I first watched Rocky Horror when I was really young so there are a lot of things I missed.

For example, when Frank Furter tells Janet "your apple pie don't taste too nice" I thought he was saying she was a bad baker.

Are there any innuendos you noticed on a rewatch that you missed first time around?

I haven't had a flare up in a few weeks

Now I'm convinced that I've been faking everything my entire life as well as being terrified for when the flare up inevitably does come with a vengeance at the worst possible moment.

I've been trying to pace myself but I think that subconsciously, I'm doing things I know will make the pain worse in order to try and 'get the flare up over with' which obviously makes zero sense.

Also I randomly got way stiffer fairly recently so now I keep questioning if I'm even really hypermobile or not. Then I try to reassure myself that I am by hyperextending my joints- which hurts them more.

How to tell someone that it's not safe to sit on a rollator?

Often when I get onto the bus (uk), there'll be an elderly person sitting in the wheelchair space on their rollator or walking frame. Sometimes they'll move and sometimes they refuse to and I'll need to wait or transfer to a seat.

Is it considered acceptable to ask them to move? My concern is that rollators really aren't very designed for vehicle travel and can easily slide out from under you if you sit on them in a moving vehicle. However, I'm concerned that if I point this out, they'll think I'm just trying to get them to move so that I can use the wheelchair space.

How would you handle this situation?

How do you practise good sleep hygiene when you spend a lot of time in bed?

One of the biggest things sleep specialists tell you to do is to have your bed as a 'just for sleeping' area and avoid being in bed during the day. Is this possible if I'm having to spend a lot of time in bed during the day? My sleep is definitely suffering for it, which makes my chronic fatigue worse, which means I spend more of my time in bed etc.

Do you guys have this problem? Have you found a creative way to solve it?
