Blue light filtering lenses
For blf iol's like pursee what % of blue light do they block? Cheers

Do we know if its a good idea to pick blf iol's to prevent supposed retina toxicity since clear iol's do not? Or is it up in the air? I suppose if they later find blue light does in fact contribute to amd then younger people with clear iol's already implanted are kinda screwed since they will have them for decades and thus have a much larger absorption of blue light toxicity over many years. Just thinking out loud. What do you think?
What do you think is the % occurrence of retinal detachment post cataract surgery in this sub? Would be nice to know. Maybe a mod can make a poll?
When people with distance monofocals say they cannot see within 3-6 feet are we talking blurry text or are actual objects unidentifiable? Like stuff 2 feet away on a kitchen top. Can you still identify and use objects from that sort of distance without glasses?
Currently have terrible starbursts with my cataracts. At the right angle they are huge and blinding. Parked cars with the sun reflecting off them can be completely covered by the size of the starbursts.
Can monofocals have starbursts close to this bad in worst case scenarios?
Starbursts along with back lighting problems are my worst symptoms. I'm hoping my starbursts are reduced by at least 50%. Ideally 100% but I have large pupils so I imagine I'll still retain some level of them. For someone with large pupils is it possible to have zero starbursts with monofocals even at night? Tecnis1 monofocals is the most likely type ill get. They're acrylic. Ty
Might be getting cataract surgery soon but recently found out about this device that came out this year. Do you think its worth waiting for? I assume its quite expensive. Haven't seen it offered by the clinic iv had consults with. Ty
How is it? Is the artificial lens more vulnerable than the natural lens?
How is it for you? Is the iol more vulnerable than a natural lens?
As title. I only want to do one eye. Starbursts along with back-light problems are my worst symptoms. Both eyes have the same symptoms.
After doing one eye was your starburst almost gone since the brain should favour the better eye when they're both open? Ty
Forgive my ignorance but if I wear distance glasses on top of near set monofocals will I retain the near vision while wearing them or will I need bifocals. same thing with contacts. Ty
Can anyone with -0.50 monofocals describe their near vision? Is it almost as bad as plano?
I'd like decent distance vision but thought -0.5 could give some good near vision so im not blind in the 2-3 feet range. -1.00 would sacrifice too much distance vision I think.
Iv never had better than -1.25 before so thought It would be nice to experience better distance vision than I have before. Ty
Is there an alternative to grayjay to download rumble videos?
Since the update I can no longer watch livestreams and not even for 12 hours after they have ended. It says "could not parse website" Anyone experience the same?
I can't watch rumble videos as the plugin doesn't load anymore. Tried reinstalling. Doesnt help. This the same for you guys?
