I tried to do my own laundry and I’ve created a humid mess in my room.

My hotel doesn't have a guest laundry room and I refuse to pay 40 RMB ($6) per shirt for the professional dry cleaning service. I washed my socks and tees in the sink, but nothing will dry! The humidity is so high that my clothes just smell like a damp dog now. I'm currently using the hotel hair dryer on my jeans like a crazy person. Any better ideas?

Is buying used/refurbished hearing aids on eBay a terrible idea?

I simply cannot stomach the $5,000 cost for new hearing aids, but I've noticed "unlocked" Oticon and Phonak pairs on eBay for around $800. Sellers promise that local audiologists can easily reprogram them, but I'm terrified of ending up with stolen tech or devices locked to a specific clinic.

Has anyone actually done this without getting scammed? Will local clinics even agree to program equipment I bought online? I need an affordable solution, but I really can't afford to waste $800 on a gamble!

Do people regret buying cheaper treadmills long term?

I’ve been going back and forth on this for weeks now. Every time I think I’ve settled on a budget treadmill, I see people saying it broke in a year or felt unstable. Then others say they’ve had theirs for years with no issues.

I’m not planning anything intense mostly walking and light jogging at home but I also don’t want to make a mistake and end up replacing it sooner than expected.

For people who started with cheaper treadmills, did you regret it or was it actually fine long term?

How much treadmill maintenance is realistically normal?

This might be a dumb question, but how much maintenance do treadmills actually require long term?

I keep seeing completely different answers online.

Some people say occasional lubrication/cleaning is enough, while others make it sound like constant upkeep.

Trying to figure out what normal ownership realistically looks like before buying one.

How to maintain and extend the lifespan of a construction machinery bucket?

Bro I am kicking myself over this dumb mistake. We left our main excavator bucket packed with wet clay for three straight weeks. Totally forgot to wash it before the break. Now the bottom edge is rusting out and the teeth look like garbage. My manager completely lost his mind at me.

I spent all night stressing and looking up replacement parts. Ended up scrolling Alibaba which was surprisingly chill. Browsing their listings was honestly super helpful cause the photos showed exactly where they weld extra wear plates on brand new gear. It really opened my eyes to how trashed our stuff is.

But my brain is totally fried trying to fix this thing. Everyone online keeps saying you gotta hardface the weak spots to make it last longer but I have zero idea what that involves. Do you just glob random heavy welds across the bottom or do I need a special metal? Am I gonna straight up warp the steel if I guess? Lemme know how you guys actually keep these alive cause I am totally clueless here.

Starting to realize choosing the lender might be harder than choosing the house

I expected the stressful part of buying to be finding the right house, but honestly the mortgage side has been way more confusing than I thought. Every lender seems confident their option is the best, but the numbers, fees, and explanations all look different enough that it’s hard to know who to trust. I’m probably overthinking it at this point, but it feels like one wrong choice could cost a lot over time.

Not really looking for a magic answer, just curious how other people figured out who to trust during this process.

are pocket cams getting too “pro” for their own good

I might be in the minority here, but the more I see these Pocket 4P / Muse 2 Pro leaks, the more I wonder if pocket cams are starting to move in a weird direction.
Dual lens sounds cool. A longer focal length sounds cool. More serious hardware sounds cool.
But at what point does a pocket cam stop feeling like a pocket cam?
The whole reason I like this category is because it is small, quick, easy to carry, and not something I need to think about before bringing it outside. If the camera starts getting top heavy, needs special filter adapters, has shorter battery life, or feels less natural to carry, then I’m not sure the “pro” upgrade is always worth it.
For a lot of casual creators, travel videos, walking clips, food shots, and daily stuff, I feel like clean 4K, good stabilization, solid low light, and easy handling matter more than adding another lens.
Maybe I’m wrong and the extra lens will be super useful. But right now I’m more interested in which camera I would actually carry every day, not which one wins the leak spreadsheet.
Anyone else feel like pocket cams should stay simple, or do you actually want them to become more like mini pro rigs?

AI testing tools are everywhere now but most look identical, how do you actually tell them apart?

Most tools in the AI testing space are doing one of two things: generating scripts through natural language input, which is still Selenium or Appium underneath, or running automated crawlers doing random path exploration.

Neither is genuinely agentic in any meaningful sense.

The evaluation question that matters is whether the tool understands what it's verifying or is just automating actions blindly. The marketing has converged to the point where everything sounds equivalent.

did anyone else mistake emotional instability for passion?

Looking back, I think I confused intensity with connection for a long time.

Has anyone else realized that emotionally unstable relationships felt more “real” simply because they were emotionally louder?

Color Grading my shot with Xtra Muse

Took my newly acquired XTRA MUSE out for a run and did a quick edit afterwards. I ended up going with XTRA over something like DJI mainly because of the price difference. I’ve used the Pocket 4 before, and since XTRA is just their rebrand with pretty much the same spec all around, is relatively easy for me to get my hands on both the product and their app

Shot everything in X-Log (basically XTRA’s version of D-Log), did some light color correction in post, mostly just balancing exposure, pulling highlights down a bit, and adding a touch of contrast and warmth before finding the right Lut and Vignette to make it a dreamy like vibe I was going for

I also tried using the clamp mount to get some overhead angles, which added a bit more variety compared to the usual POV shots

Overall it’s been pretty easy to shoot and edit with so far. Curious how others are grading their footage or what mounts you’ve been using lately.

why does multi-agent consensus feel like a digital echo chamber lately?

i’ve been trying to build a research loop where three agents check each other's facts before giving an output but it’s starting to feel like they just gaslight each other. if the first model makes a logic error the others often just "hallucinate" reasons to agree with it instead of actually calling out the mistake. it is like they are afraid to disagree.

i tried looking for alternatives online that actually let you see these models fight it out properly and found asknestr among a few other tools but it has made me realize how common this shared bias is. it is frustrating because you want a "council" but you end up with a group-think problem.

are we overcomplicating things by adding more agents to the mix? or is there a specific system prompt you guys use to force them to actually be hostile to each other's logic? i’m starting to think a single model with a very heavy verification step might be more reliable than a multi-agent setup that just agrees with itself.
