I was changing my lower control arm, driver side on my mother in laws Acura MDX 2016 with V6 3.5L. When I had the old control arm out, the axle was allowed to move around. When I was installing the new control arm, I noticed that the axle boot had a fold like in the second picture.
Did I extend the axle too far out when installing the control arm? It was folded like the example in picture 2, but when I went to take a picture of it 20 minutes later, it was back to normal.
Can I check if the axle is good?

Second time doing a timing belt on the J35. The first time was on a Honda pilot and it’s been running 20k miles with no issue.
This is a 2016 Acura MDX. There is no slack between the crank, front and rear cams and all the slack is on the tensioner side. Wanted to make sure this looks good before I pull the tensioner pin.
