Gladys and Hector

I genuinely liked their dynamic in the later episodes of S3 and I hope they‘ll stick together in S4. (I loved Gladys as a character and I hope they won‘t go with the full story of Consuelo Vanderbilt for her. She deserves some happiness.)

While I understand how terrible it was for Bertha to force her into this marriage (and Bertha definitely deserves the consequences of it), Bertha was ultimately right: Gladys and Hector are well suited for each other. But probably not in the way she originally thought. I believed both are content with being mid- Gladys doesn‘t seem to have much interest in being „at the top“ and good for her! I also don‘t think Hector had much experience before her, he seems really awkward and unexperienced when dealing with women other than his sister.

I also liked them both getting more comfortable with each other and I hope they‘ll form a genuine love along the way. (However, I have an odd feeling Gladys‘ pregnancy will end in miscarriage and they‘ll either use that to go the divorce/seperation route or it‘ll end with them moving closer together)

AGA or still TE?

I posted here around a month or so ago, since I‘d been experiencing heavy shedding since March. The shedding is still going on, with my hairbrush looking like this after two times brushing (once after shower, the other this morning.)

I‘ve changed my diet, i started taking supplements (iron, pumpkinseed oil, omega 3) but nothing stops the shedding. I tried a growth serum, but my scalp has become more itchy as a result. Generally, my scalp will be VERY itchy sometimes, especially around my middle part. Sometimes it almost feels like its burning.

I saw a doctor in June, and my bloodwork came back fine. The doctor basically just told me its seasonal shedding and that ppl loose their hair every 7 years. My hairdresser also said seasonal shedding and my gyno said it too. Idk, i genuinely feel like im going crazy. My middle part has gotten wider and on the right side (left side on this pic) my scalp will literally shine through my hair a bit. It looks like a bald spot.

Im so so scared that it‘ll be AGA instead of TE (what i suspect). It‘s impossible to get a derm appointment here and i fear i will loose most of my hair before i can get any help.

Thoughts? I appreciate any help.

Rhaenyra in EP3 of S3

I know the show has done a lackluster job at adapting some characters from the books and I think Rhaenyra is one of the characters they „butchered“ the most in their quest to have her appear morally superior at all times.

I‘m generally very black-leaning, but I find the writing of her in EP 3 very good (after multiple episodes of „What would you have me do??“ last season). The idea that she would obviously struggle to rule since she was never prepared for it and apparently never considered the logistics of actually ruling seems like a good contrast.

What‘s also interesting is that both Rhaenyra and Aegon were somewhat unprepared to rule and generally for what it meant to be king/queen, but Aegon had the advantage of having an entire horde of people behind him who had been running the realm for years at this point, a full treasury, and just the general favor of the Faith. Rhaenyra lacks a lot of those things: Her council in KL consists of Daemon, Mysaria and Corlys- who have experience in their own right but who work terribly together. It‘s also going to bite her back that she left her other council on Dragonstone. I think she wants to handle everything alone and be seen as a strong ruler, but she‘s eventually going to come crashing down when she realizes that‘s not working. She also inherited the empty treasury, the general issues of the war and the pissed off smallfolk- all while dealing with her own grief. (And pissing off the nobles while she‘s at it)

I think she wants to uphold her own principles of being a champion of her people (which the show made quite important for her) but may end up burning more than one bridge this way. I like this writing more where she makes obvious mistakes that also somehow make sense for her character, rather than what we got in S2.

All in all the Episode was good. Far from book Rhaenyra, but the show made it clear that this ship has sailed a while ago.

The damn scorpion bolts

Rip Jace and Vermax my boy, you will be missed.

The way they went out in the show was so tragic, albeit a bit stupid. I think it was intentional though, his death is equally tragic and sort of stupid in the book where it‘s said he flied too low, and it makes sense for him as a character.

He was eager to prove himself and got distracted by getting away from Sheepstealer, and also probably never had seen scorpions like these before (I reckon they were an invention of the stepstone war to take down Seasmoke or Caraxes).

Genuinely loosing it…

I need you guys‘ help with my specific issue. I‘ve always had long thick hair, that did sometimes get a little dry and usually did a big shed in spring. I also wash it every day, but have NEVER had an issue with this before. After washing, I leave it to airdry in two or one braids. I have been doing this since 2022, when my hair was barely below my shoulders. So it was always fine.

I went on a diet in Dezember 2025 (when my hair was at it‘s thickest) as I was mildly overweight and hated my body. Since I used an app to track the calories, I thought the amount was fine (1400-1500) and didn‘t pay much attention to nutrients, since I didn‘t always obey the diet. I

In the last three months (april and may specifically) I‘ve noticed A LOT of hair shedding. Edit: My scalp has also been feeling somewhat itchy, especially my middle part. When I brush my hair in the morning, my brush and floor are COVERED in hair. I did a count today, and just the first shed was over 50 hairs. Something worth mentioning is that I also have oily skin on my face and I‘m genuinely afraid I‘m developing PCOS. During my diet, I drank a lot of coke zero as I struggle with migraines and that‘s one of the drinks that help lol. Now I think I might‘ve given myself insulin resistance and I‘m so so scared.

I don‘t know what to do. I‘m taking biotin and iron supplements, I stopped the diet, I added rosemary oil to my hair routine and it just gets more and more. I‘ll see my hairdresser and gyno soon and I‘m thinking about bringing up the issue.

The photos I showed are from March to Now and I genuinely think you can see the loss, but idk maybe I‘m going crazy but I think my middle part has definitely gotten wider.

What can I do now?? I don‘t want to loose more and more hair, as my hair is the one thing I like about my looks. I‘m an ugly woman, so it‘s literally the only thing I got. Any help is appreciated now.

Thank you guys for the long read :)

I feel like I‘m going crazy

Ever since February/March, I feel like I am shedding much more hair than usual. I have very long and somewhat thick hair, so a few hairs always look like a lot but idk I just feel like it‘s significantly more than usual.

I brush my hair in the morning and when I do, I loose a huge amount of it. Like there‘s hair on the floor and all over my brush. During the day, the hairloss is fewer though. I think my middle-part has gotten wider and my hair has gotten somewhat thinner in general too.

And I didn‘t change anything about my routine AT ALL, the only thing I did was a diet from Dezember to now that made me loose a few kg. Do any of you know what might be wrong? I‘m so scared that I‘ll loose my hair as it was the one thing I didn‘t hate about myself :/

Rosa‘s fate

I think Paula might have something done to Rosa to teach Agnes a lesson, considering we‘ve seen how close Rosa and Agnes are and how Paula apparently disapproves of it.

Rosa speaking up about the matchmaking might give Paula the „reason“ she is looking for to have to punish her and thus get Agnes back into line. I think their earlier conversation about shooting a lame horse and how Paula liked the fact that other Martha had her tongue removed also implies a horrible fate for Rosa…
