A pic of our OPD room before chaos this morning.
The slider door to the pickup spots is key...but they never got the camera aimed right to see the spots in the monitor well

I did this before work today in my Pixel9
it helped with the glitches in the GIF app, VIZPICK camera, I had a lot less camera glitches in apps, it feels like it is quicker at staging, etc as well
I had to jam the sodas into the tote without breaking the cardboard case.
An interesting read if you scroll down past the pre-text, it has good sayings from gaslighting narcissists...
“You need to trust me more”- one of my favorites from my cheating ex...
For the last two weeks, we've been told to get approvals from leads or coaches before we nil pick
.
Market partners came to our store, and asked why we aren't using an exception picker, and running late on picks.
.
Now we are being told our metrics have been trash for two weeks, and we had better change...especially pre-sub.
IDK what we are suddenly going to change on our team besides going back to nil pick, share sticking issues on WorkVivo chat...?
.
If you have us shop all over, then have an exception picker do the same, and your pre-sub is low, maybe you ought to talk to your fresh team lead and coach who insist on coming in early to stock bananas, but neglect your milk and meat..
If we search all over for non existent items, or stuff that is not binned...maybe stocking your store might help your pre-sub...
Am I wrong in my thinking?
I really like this perspective of healing COULD feel so freeing, but it can be chemically dependent...Say, What?
This seems to be very informational, a reflection in the rear view mirror so to speak, a reminder of the littlest of red flags that need to be observed, or done away with immediately.
YOURself is worth more, I promise!
One day I got fed up with how my job was going. I maintained between 100 to 150 pick rate, it seemed to have become boring to me. I found a way to get pick walks that I wanted, it became boring, so I asked my team lead for advice.
She told me kindly that I seem to throw items into bags, I bring in totes that look more like a mess than a presentable order, and that oftentimes I give slightly damaged products.
She asked me to ask myself whenever I pick:
"Would i buy that?"
"Could someone gift it, use it, re-sell it, or return it as new?"
She reassured me my value to the team, asked me to slow down enough to take more pride in my work.
Pack the bags as you would for a camping trip, double bag if it is heavy, frozen, etc.
Since I did that, customer reviews appreciate the double bagging, and my stage preppers and dispensers now thank me, vs before it was complaints on me.
I find more patience to unlock security cabinets between runs for people, stay late on occasion when asked, it seems my job is a lot more likeable.
I hope it helps someone to think, take pride in your work, enjoy your job a bit more.
Just a little reminder about the light within that relented within you and perservered when darkness tried to win...it's another way to remind myself anytime the dark times memories come up in emotions, that any more tears that form in my eyes because of that memory is a victory that I won, period, not sadness, sorrow, or worry guilt, or shame, just love & light.
I made this little sign, my supervisor put it up. If scheduled delivery must be bagged, are you giving your customer the value that they paid for?
I'd rather have a slightly lower pick rate from taking the extra time to bag as I go, and bring in a presentable order to stage/preppers than to cause my colleagues to either rebag it, or hand it to a driver as a mess.
The customers talk about it in reviews, they like it.
This is a good writeup about boundaries, though not faith based, I felt a need to share it for anyone battling with boundaries after abuse to set themselves on a better path in relationships of all types.
