I have a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Crew Cab with the 5′10″ short bed, MultiPro tailgate, and factory spray-in bedliner.
I’ll mainly use the bed for 7′6″ fishing rods, reels, coolers, and other fishing/boating equipment.

My priorities are:
Strong hard cover—not something flimsy
Good security and water resistance
Easy to open and close frequently
Full bed access when needed
No major interference with the MultiPro tailgate
Minimal loss of space inside the short bed
I’m currently considering:
BAKFlip MX4 Gen 3
UnderCover Ultra Flex Gen 3
BAK Revolver X4s
Possibly Retrax or Roll-N-Lock

My preferred budget is around $1,000–$1,500. I don’t necessarily want the most expensive one—I want the most reliable, proven option.
For anyone who has owned these, which would you choose? I’m especially interested in long-term durability, leaking, fitment, security, and ease of everyday use.l

I have a fairly large open room that we’re converting into a home gym. What do you guys recommend for flooring?
I’ve seen a lot of people recommend the Tractor Supply horse stall mats. Are those still considered the best option, or are there better rubber flooring options you’d recommend for a larger space?
I’ll have a squat rack, free weights, benches, and other equipment in the room.

How often do you all have interactions with game wardens while fishing around Richmond or elsewhere in Virginia?

Are they usually out checking licenses and regulations, or do you rarely see them?

I’ve been fishing for a while and was just curious how common it is for other anglers to get checked.

Looking to get two new rods HELLCAT REVENGE to be exact.

Fishing for mainly for catfish. Targeting the larger ones 20lbs plus

I already have one hellcat revenge rod, medium heavy, but I feel like it has too much bend to it just with the 5oz sinker and cut bait, compared to my Okuma custom cat slayer medium heavy. I usually use at a minimum of 5 ounce as a sinker and large cut bait.

Just wondering if going up to heavy will be a better option, but also don’t wanna lose the fun in the fight.

And to see what the other people use and recommend

Does anyone have a BAIT person or know where I can purchase gizzard shad from?

Need to re-spool 3 of my reels. Casting rods with Penn squall II size 20.

I only fish from the bank in rivers with heavy current and lot of rocks.

Braid doesn’t seem to last for me gets frayed and starts breaking off to easy. I have 65lb test reaction tackle.

Thinking of going up to 80lb test

Or

Switching entirely to 30-40lb test Berkley big game mono or Ande monster serious

Just concerned with casting distance with the mono.

Any opinions?
