Got accepted into ASIP for work and organizations. From what I heard, ASIP is mostly useful for CS, stats or just stem people in general. Is it worth paying the money and attending those mandatory lectures? How much does being in ASIP help me get work experiences/internship?
I immigrated to Macao when I was around 6 years old and basically lived my entire life here. Because I was in an international school, we mainly spoke English and the teachers didn’t let us speak any other language except when it’s mandarin class. My family speaks mandarin and I basically navigated life using solely mandarin and English. There was no real incentive for me to learn Cantonese so I never did. Now Im off to university, and when people ask me where I’m from, I’d say Macao and some would immediately light up and switch to speaking Cantonese with me but I could barely speak it and can only understand some. It makes me feel ashamed and I really want to actually learn Cantonese now. What are the best ways to learn to speak it? I only know how to say thank you/excuse me and count numbers
New maintenance post and first comment I see in that god damn comment section is a gif of raf’s new splash art or whatever it’s called with the words “bring Valko back” and “awoooo”. ITS GETTING SO DAMN ANNOYING everytime I open the comment section I get ragebaited so hard. Valko ain’t a real person, people haven’t even interacted with him, they only SAW HIM IN A TRAILER and all of a sudden became so attached to him. Like what????? I see people spamming and doing all sorts of things like harassing or I don’t even know. Are they THAT BORED?? Don’t they have better things to do?? LIKE YEAH MAYBE ILL UNDERSTAND A BIT MORE if Valko actually got released IN game but he’s NOT BRO JUST STOP. LIFE IS SHORT, GO DO SOMETHING WORTH WHILE THAT ACTUALLY IMPACTS YOUR LIFE IDK ANYMORE
Edit: on the art contest post people are saying shit like “what if this contest is flooded with Valko’s art instead? Hehe 😉 “ and “as artists we should come tgt and exclusively draw Valko art!”…. All I can say is they are very good at ragebaiting atp. I get PTSD everytime I look at the comments section

I'll be moving into this apartment soon and I'll have a queen sized bed, 2 person couch and a small coffee table (rectangle shaped) as furniture. Right now, the bed is placed just like in the picture. I don't like the position of the bed and I'm thinking if there's a outlet near the wall, I'll put my desk at where the dinning table is so I'll have a little "study area". If there's no outlet, then I'll put my desk at where the TV is because there is a outlet there for sure. The foyer where there's a small area will be used for storange like suitcases or boxes
Never worked before in my LIFE (lived in a country where min age of employment is 18 yrs old). Incoming second year double majoring in polisci and work & org with minor in digital humanities. When I was working on my resume, all I could put on there as "experience" is the activities I've done back in highschool and it feels so empty. I want to aim for a internship next summer so what are some steps I can take to increase my chances?
How should I approach someone and strike up a conversation when they're waiting for lecture/tutorial to start? I kinda did the "hi my name is ____, whats ur major?" tactic last year and it was a hit or miss. I did make friends from that but sometimes it would get very awkward. I'm not very social so after that brief intro we both would just go quiet and I wouldn't know how to continue the conversation 😭
Seeing all my eng friends getting like 3.9 GPAs while I’m a 3.3 going into polisci and work &org (social science context) next sem is giving me sudden boosts of motivation. Also getting ragebaited by it. What are some good advice on how to do well in those majors? I’m actually gonna lock in 💀💀
