Yesterday 7/20 I lost my Sophia pc from the lightstick bundle, along with a pc cover that I crocheted and a keychain I made (all attached together). I think someone picked it up and took it because it wasn’t turned in to the lost and found or anything at the Walmart I was at. I’m so upset about it and can’t find a reasonably priced replacement. Does anyone have an extra they’re willing to sell or know someone that does? It was one of my favorites :/

Going to the show tomorrow in Inglewood (last minute I know!!) but I wanted to accessorize with some bracelets. Given the limited “common” letters I have, what songs or fan references or just anything related to the band can I make bracelets of? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Thank you for all your feedback and concerns. We took her to the vet to get the whiskers checked out with suspicion of ringworm. This concern is paired with occasional scratching of the ears and a small bald spot that we noticed on her back near the rear with no redness or inflammation.

Her vitals were all normal, and the vet tested for ringworm with a blacklight checking for any green glows that would indicate presence of the fungus. He didn’t find any, so he went to consult with another doctor, who came out and confirmed no ringworm, but claimed suspicion of mange. He said mange is very common among cats, but adults have a much stronger immune system to fight it than kittens.

They took her to run some tests, scraped part of her ear to look under a microscope, and confirmed that she had ear mites (a type of mange). Not sure what they tested on the bald spot but they shaved and scraped it as well. They prescribed a three-month supply of Revolution for her.

As for the whiskers breaking, the vet assured that it will resolve itself after the medication has taken care of the mites. I’m assuming that she was overgrooming her face because of the itchiness of the mites, therefore causing the whiskers to fold and break. This might also tie to the minor bald spot, that she’s overgrooming that area. Anyone with experience using Revolution on their cat?

I adopted this kitten about 3 weeks ago (the first image) and her whiskers have been breaking off slowly. I didn’t really pay much attention to it at first because it was only a few, I thought they were just growing in. But they broke so gradually that it didn’t become a concern until I compared her pics from when I got her. A couple days ago I noticed one bent in a different direction (second pic) and some plausibilities from research were that she’s grooming too hard, or too much friction from her food bowl? It’s a shallow bowl but she’s a little kitty. I got her a new plate to put her food in but it only delivered yesterday so I can’t update about that yet. I should’ve found some of the broken off whiskers around from the quantity that are missing, but I haven’t seen any. Could she be eating them? She’s the only pet at home so we can rule out siblings nibbling on them/rough play etc. But from the last two images she only has two long whiskers left. I’m still not sure of the exact cause. What are some other adjustments I can make, and how long will they take to grow back?
