Shout out to The 808!

New venue in south Knox (literally just opened) … not a very big venue by any means, although I prefer the more personal experience of less people and being able to see the band vs going to Thompson or a big arena. The restroom setup is pretty awesome too (individual rooms like buccees but not maga owned 😈🤣). Really hope to see more great concerts here. Marcy Playground last night was AMAZING. I believe a local band ?Tristitter? Opened for them which was a good start to the evening. They reminded me a little of a more upbeat motion city sound track.

Coming up is a show I had wished I had gotten tix for but failed… Paul Okenfield w. Crystal Method. Should be insane! And to those going, you will have a good experience I’m sure if it is anything like the show last night was. Thank you to the 808 & Macys Playground! And lsd for making mean people nice 😈🖤🤣

Can’t wait to see what’s next?!?

🤔 thoughts?

So I grafted a pup onto this and a few weeks later the pup popped out of the side… that was Monday that the pic was taken. Today it’s nearly 3x the size while the grafted pup is probably about 2x is original size after about 3wks. Another loph or did my San decide to grow another? Thoughts?

Dogs chasing bicycles, walking etc…..

We live in the county with a lot of nice rideable roads. Downside is the few times we’ve been out several dogs have multiply chased us down the street off their property. I even had a guy purposely let their dog out saying, go get’em. If I carry pepper spray or pepper balls… is that an option for defense? I realize part of the instinct is the chase and stopping usually ends it. However, the particular dogs doing it consistently are labs, german shepherds and Dobermans. Any thoughts?

Looking for a singer…….

Going out on a limb here….. have been fkin around with sequencing drum and bass lines to incorporate with my guitar, but one thing I’m missing that I can’t fudge is singing. This is more a hobby than looking for gigs type request too…if it turned into something that’s cool too. Me…in my 50’s grew up loving the punk skateboard scene but also alt, rave, Edm crystal meth / prodigy stuff and love nin kinda dark stuff. Play electric guitar enough to say so, but it’s been awhile since i did the band stuff (use to play live when in college).

That said, I’m open to obviously playing whatever…but this “ project” that I’m trying to do would be more beastie boys meets Iinkin park/nin / prodigy type stuff. So if you can rap that’s helpful. Dark rap better, dark rap and crunchy… even better.

I’d even be game for doing it all remote… not in person. Just trying to bounce some ideas around and thought it might help me get out of my agoraphobic fortress of solitude some that I’ve created 10yrs ago when I moved here. It’s time to try to crawl out of that hole so to speak …. And realizing that I need help in doing that.

Not to sound whatever, but asking this isn’t easy for me.

*thank you all for responding, looking at this or even giving me an up vote… I know you all have seen my sarcastic side and the psycho side some too..am not the easiest individual to tolerate for sure. Work in progress

Coastal redwood in Knoxville, TN

An Interesting find on a random TikTok video haha. I’m surprised one was able to get that big. I thought Tennessee winters might be too unpredictable and cold for the coastal redwood, especially in East TN. However, this one seems to be surviving somewhat

I’m curious maybe the winters in East Tennessee are more stable compared to middle and west regions in Tennessee? Middle and West Tennessee might have more unpredictability in fluctuating temperatures during winter that can affect the survivability.

Lost wallet and car break in

“My dad lost his wallet downtown and my car now got broken into….what is up with this town?” Bicycles, headsets, grills stolen and now cars being broken into…. Who would’ve ever guessed.?. Never saw any of it coming… the doors were probably unlocked too
