Can I get manual shifting in an EV?

Do I have to give up manual shifting to get an EV? I see that the Porshe Taycan has eShift, which seems to be entirely a simulation (kind of like a play steering wheel for the kid in the backseat, in my view). Are there any EVs that rely on actual manual gear changes?

I like manual shifting and feeling the road because they intensify the fun feeling of driving. I don’t care about broadcasting with loud noises the fact that I'm changing gears.

We already have a fully automatic smooth EV for my husband. It offers its own milder fun, lots of safety features, and uses energy from our solar panels. I’d love to be able to have these plus real manual shifting.

Advice on orientation of toilet paper holder

Hi. We’re replacing a spring-type toilet paper roll holder because the stress of replacing the roll is loosening the connections to the wall. We’re considering the type that is shown in the first picture, but it looks like you have to be sure to snap the paper in only one direction to tear it. Would there be a problem with changing the orientation 90 degrees (second picture) so that the roll sits upright?
