Does LC's enamel wear out? Why does it take so much effort to get my Flame pan clean?
edit: the concensus seems to be that once a LC pot can't be cleaned with warm water and dish soap, or boiling with some baking soda, that the enamel has failed and the pan is irreparably damaged.
Does the enamel wear out? Seems like everytime i use this smaller Flame i have to clean it in this order:
LC's cleaner/protectant
Hot soapy water
Barkeepers friend
2 cups hydrogen peroxide boiled, mixed with baking soda, then boiled for 5 minutes, then srubbed while boiling with a blue scotch-brite pad at the end of a bamboo scraper.
Repeat peroxide/baking soda until clean.
Wash with soap and treat with LC cleaner/protectant before putting away.
As you can imagine, that's a lot i have to do to keep my Flame DO looking the way my Caribbean Blue DO does. Has the enamel failed on this pan, allowing bits of carbon to get stuck in the pits of the enamel? Is it warranty-able?
