Here is my process to make two grip colors and the slide for a P365 into the Vosteed knife color schemes that I think are just amazing. In the end, best looking colored sig grip in my opinion. Pictured is the green micarta Vosteed porcupine, raccoon 2.0, and tislim bronze sv90 porcupine. Overall, the raccoon has the best action, the ti is second, but I carry the thumb hole porcupine the most because the thumb hole is nice.

First try, I took a grey sig p365 module and tried dying with Rite Dymore peacock green. That made a purple. What in the heck? Turns out Sig grey is heavy blue. So adding green to blue made purple. Very much like the “red purple” of the Raccoon tislim. Very rich purple brown. Very luxury look.

However, I was trying to make the green. So to turn blue tinting to green I tried only daffodil yellow. This new ordered grey grip turned out nearly exactly the micarta green of the Vosteed.

Sent the slide to Maple Leaf for a bronze pvd. Missed the batch going out, so it took a while to get back. Beautiful appearance. Good job on their sourced chemical group.

Bought an NDZ copper retaining pin only for accent and intentional. Didn’t want copper bronze taking over on the controls or trigger.

All in, very happy with the rich look of both grips and slide. My light is bad and caring to fix it attitude is worse. But the green match in person is 95% to the green micarta.

The tislim porcupine is bronze titanium. I am waiting on the Raccoon purple copper dune to deliver, but wanted to post with what I have.

I like the color scheme and took the plunge on the expensive but still base Kizer Madrac model. Kizer, Kiser on eBay, and Amazon list this as micarta.

Micarta is what I want.

I am suspicious this is not micarta. It is very slick with no fiber feeling. My T1 kizer on rose gold? That is very fibrous.

Additionally, the pattern is almost exaggerated painted in appearance for having a pattern. It is almost pixelated close up, like cheaply so instead of grains because of canvas fibers. It has a ceramic feel, boarding on plastic.

Guys, I am not sure this is actually micarta?

I apologize for lack of detail. I am trying to get a p365 to look Vosteed green copper dune. My dye job did not work. Pictured is pre dye try.

I had a gray OEM grip module for a p365. I tried Rit dymore to get it to of green. Instead it went purple brown. Beautiful. But nowhere near green. I let ai tell me to go 9 teaspoons of sage and one of chocolate brown.

In the process I ended up buying Rit Dymore sage, peacock, daffodil yellow and chocolate brown. I would like to stop buying dyed and just get the color already :)

I bought a new gray grip coming tomorrow. For whatever reason, I can’t get my post to not get rejected on the polymer80 sub that talks about grip dye jobs (none for sig gray grips or green outcomes-I promise I’ve done a lot of looking around).

Any suggestions? AI is now telling me go full Sage or full yellow because the blue in the sig gray is going to go brown faster. I am not interested in the look of the scales on the Wilson combat grip module though the color is right (color online is wrong because the picture are taken under bright white lights making it look less dark than reality).

I love the look of my Vosteed Raccoon and Porcupines in green handle and copper dune blade.

I would like to take that color scheme to my p365 in standard 10rnd grip. I also already have a grey grip, which thanks sig for being lame, is lighter than grey. So I could dye this grey grip to get the green and lip the 150 grey guns of green grip only option.

With that….any opinions on best set up? Took it to ai for a couple. I think grip green, barrel and controls copper pvd or copper nitride? Leave slide black?
