I’m so, so happy with how this turned out! I literally cried when I picked it up. You guys helped me pick the stone back in December and I wanted to share how it looks set. 💜

I posted a couple weeks ago and finally got it back. I’m so much happier with it now and actually (embarrassingly) cried when I picked it up. My jeweler said he wasn’t seeing that the six prongs this way would make much difference, but that I was exactly right that it is so much better. I really couldn’t be more thrilled.

I just had this diamond set a few days ago. After being set, it looks like an emerald/radiant and seems to have lost the rounded corners. Is there a way to make it appear more cushiony? Would a prong arrangement like the first picture work? The fourth picture is the diamond in a tension try on ring.
I don’t feel like a compass setting would be secure enough. I don’t want to do something that would risk the security of the stone, and in my head I feel like this would work, but I don’t know how feasible it would be.
I’d like to know what options might be possible before I go back to the jeweler, or just accept it is what it is. He had to order the head because of the size (11.63 x 7.22 ring size 5.75) and because I wanted white gold. I’d be happy to pay for something different if needed. (I assume that this is on me and not the jeweler.)
My main priority for this ring is showcasing the diamond and making sure it’s secure. I’m definitely open to ideas.
It’s also catching my hair under the prongs. Should I have them adjusted?
I got this notification in an email yesterday and wanted to pass it along for anyone who may have missed it. It was a vine item I got back in July. I clicked the button on the Amazon recall page to confirm disposal and have received a refund credit for the actual purchase price, not the $0 amount they usually give.
The cat was in our pup’s crate for at least 45 minutes. He started meowing and I went looking for him. I laughed so hard!
I believe this kitty belonged two doors down but has been put outside and abandoned. Our next door neighbor (between us and where I think he came from) has been feeding him occasionally. I saw him last night at our back patio (where I’ve been feeding a different cat for several days who’d been crying for about a week before I found him) when I fed the other stray. He’s skittish but as long as I don’t move too fast he lets me pet him and ate well last night.
I’m very concerned about his eye and don’t know what to do for him. I spoke to the neighbors and no one’s taking responsibility for him. We have cats already, and finances don’t allow us to take on a high vet bill right now. (Our 13 year old kitty has a dental appointment next week already which is part of the situation.) Surgery looks to be several thousand dollars for an eye removal (I’m not sure it’s even there, hence the NSFW tag.) Will a shelter help him? Or should I call animal control? I don’t want him to suffer, and this has to be hurting him, and living outside the infection rate is probably astronomical. I’m at a loss and would welcome any suggestions or ideas.

I know there shouldn’t be quotations in inner dialogue, but what do you do to distinguish a second inner voice? Or a quoted voice? Is there a different way to handle this situation?
