Why don't the seniors at MANIT understand the struggles of first-year students? Why are they not allowed to fully enjoy their first year? It's all because of an outdated mindset surrounding ragging and unnecessary "fundas." Many talented first-year students, who could contribute so much, are stuck living in fear of ragging or dealing with ridiculous traditions that have no real value in terms of academic or technical growth.
To any future students considering joining MANIT-if you're an introvert, think twice. I've seen it firsthand with my friend who's going through an emotional and mental struggle because of the toxic culture at MANIT. While we, as students from other institutes, enjoy collaborating freely on projects, making progress, and getting valuable mentorship from seniors, he feels trapped, excluded, and constantly put down by the system.
Have the seniors ever stopped to ask themselves:
Why are the societies at MANIT so far behind when compared to other NITs and IITs?
Why does a coding culture or a reputable coding society not thrive there?
Why isn't NIT Bhopal seen as a dream destination by JEE aspirants?
Why is it considered a nightmare for any JEE student to end up at MANIT through JOSAA counseling?
Why does the reputation of MANIT lag far behind even some third-tier NITs?
Why is this institute, despite being an NIT, not known for fostering technology and innovation? Instead, it seems to be stuck in a cycle of irrelevant "fundas" and outdated traditions of MACT that only hold back progress.
The root of all these issues lies in the outdated culture at MANIT, a culture that could be completely transformed if the seniors actually wanted it to change. It wouldn't even take long-one single day could shift the campus to a place where juniors are free to explore, innovate, and thrive without fear.
Why do seniors think they won't get respect from juniors if they stop supporting this toxic system? Do seniors in other NITs or IITs face the same issue? Are they disrespected by juniors? No. They are respected for their leadership, guidance, and ability to nurture a positive environment.
And if seniors truly believe that not everyone is the same, then why do they continue supporting those who actively harm the institute's atmosphere? Why not speak up, file anonymous reports, and hold people accountable for their actions?
The institute should be a place for growth, but for my friend, it's the complete opposite. It's time for change. Seniors, you have the power to make MANIT an institute where juniors can flourish from day one. Step up, make a difference, and break free from this outdated cycle that holds everyone back

This is the way the so called 'Reputed' Society of manit ( nit bhopal ) seniors talk to their 1 year down junior s. If you have to stay in the society you must have to follow the orders of seniors . Greetings senior's in certain pattern . Abhi tk "funde" chal rhe haii...every boy has to learn fundey aur agar bhul jaye toh they will slap youu...every boy has to wish in certain way and so do girls in different way than boysss ...Greeting krte vkt no one will wear specs , sbme niche dekh ke wish Krna haiii..They will make junior stand for 3-4 long hours , bohot saari chairs hai table hai pr they will not allow to seat ...is this what any junior deserves who is just new to the college , club. Ha clubs se bohot saari cheeze sikhne ko milti hai but at what cost loosing your self respect??? And then they say idhar rehena hai toh ye rules follow krne pdege prna nikal denge ....bohot saare baccho ko inhone nikal diya just because wo inki roj roj claases ke baad wali meeting join nhi kr paa rhee. one day asked toh increase followers on their insta page each member 20 and tf they were checking one by one ...they asked to write all the usernames is this what club is for??? The other day they asked us to come early in the campus around one month prior and now they are suddenly forcing to stay 4 more days to them also who are have confirmed ticketssss...They asked us to save their contact in a certain way if not saved in that way their will be punishment...Just one year senior and they feel like they owe their juniors anything , anytime , anywhere and the way they use their tone of speaking so shameful to be a human being.This is the reality of one of most reputed Society of manit
