Carpool or Ride Sharing?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a one-way rideshare or carpool this Friday from Richmond Hill to Cambridge, Ontario.

I’m happy to contribute for gas. Please message me if you’re heading that way or know someone who might be.

Thank you!

I said yes to this dress - but my family says I look too fat

I absolutely fell in love with this Justin Alexander dress. For context my family lives in a different country and because of Visa issues, they will not be attending my wedding. My future MIL, SIL and bridesmaid took me wedding dress shopping. My MIL said I looked gorgeous in this dress and she paid for it. My SIL couldn’t stop fawning over it and my fiancés grandmother personally called me to say I looked fantastic in it.

I sent my mom and grandma a picture but they all told me that I looked too fat. They said my arms were too fat, my bacne scars would show and my underarms are too dark for a sleeveless dress. My mother even “joked” and asked if it was my fiancé wearing the dress because of the size of my arms and back.

The store just called me and said the dress is here but my confidence has been so diminished I don’t want to come in and try it on again. In fact, I’m starting to hate it.

What do I do? This dress is very expensive but I fear that wearing it to my wedding would only result in ridicules from my family for the rest of my life and I don’t want to deal with that.

They are engaged but he leaves her after the sleep together?

So this is my very weird request. I was recently watching a series when this thought came into my mind. I’m interested to know if there are books where the MC and FMC are engaged ti be married and they sleep together but then he ends up leaving her for whatever reason and comes grovelling back after finding out the truth or something.

It doesn’t have to be exactly this but I would like that moment where the FMC feels desperate and depressed and ashamed and the MC comes grovelling back.

My boy enjoying the buprenorphine

The vets took this photo. He went in for a urinary block caused by idiopathic cystitis. It makes such a huge difference when you have compassionate vets who loved your pets and take care of them like they would their own.

My cat Dumpling was just hospitalized for a urinary blockage (crystals). It was honestly one of the scariest things I’ve ever experienced. He was in so much pain and had to stay for 3 days with a catheter.

He’s been home for 2 days now and is on a muscle relaxer, gabapentin, and antibiotics.

The thing is he keeps going to the litter box constantly. He’ll go in, dig around, try to pee, but only tiny drops come out. I also had to put towels down our bed because he tried to pee there too but again only small drops.

He doesn’t seem as completely out of it as before the hospital, but he’s definitely not himself and I can tell something feels off.

I’ve read that irritation from the catheter can cause this, but I’m also terrified of him re-blocking. I don’t know how to tell the difference.

For anyone who’s dealt with this:
Did your cat do this after coming home?
How long did it last?
When did you know it was something more serious?

I’m already considering calling the vet again, but I just wanted to hear from people who’ve been through it because I’m honestly so scared of missing something. The vet bills were also extremely high and we ended up using our entire savings and took out a loan from family. If he needs another hospitalization, we won’t be able to afford it at all and I’m so scared of having to put him down.

Dumpling is my baby and I don’t want him going through that pain again.

Any advice or experiences would really mean a lot. Thank you. 🤍

I’m honestly still shaking writing this.

This morning, Dumpling was completely fine. He was playing with his sister Deli like nothing was wrong.

Tonight I found a puddle on the floor with a trail leading to our bedroom. When I went in, I saw him halfway under the bed, just sitting in his own urine.

He wasn’t even trying to clean himself. He wasn’t crying. He wasn’t moving. He just looked… out of it. Like a thousand yard stare. Not himself at all.

When we picked him up, pee was still coming out of him.

We rushed him to emergency and while we were waiting, he kept trying so hard to pee that he ended up pooping on the table. I’ve never seen him like that in my life. He was in so much pain and I just lost it.

They did an X-ray and said his bladder was severely distended from a blockage, likely crystals. He’s now admitted for 3 days so they can place a catheter and monitor him.

I had no idea this could happen this fast or get this serious.

Dumpling is my baby. Seeing him like that… I don’t think I’ll ever forget it.

If anyone has gone through this, I would really appreciate hearing how your cat did after.

And if you pray, please keep him in your prayers. If not, please send healing energy his way. I just want him to come home. 🤍
