Just finished the show for the first time.

Pretty incredible. I loved every bit of it. Every episode was ending in me saying WTF out loud.

I really need some help understanding Mr Marshmallow though, I really tried to understand that part but those psychic species seem like an anomaly even on that planet.

I guess Camen disrupted the natural balance by over feeding it? Still, I’m sure there are many theories and I need to hear them.

Besides that, I liked Ursula and Sam the most. Sam had some of the shittest luck, I feel bad for him.

Camen I wished would die.

Aussie I thought was difficult as the pirates gave her a fair deal and she tried to change it, at least just ask to open one pod instead of everyone.

Overall, crazy fucking show that reminded me of Dead Space and even Backrooms a bit.

I hope if there is ever another season they close out the show properly but honestly that season finale was good and had a fairly decent conclusion at least with the crew.

So yeah, help me figure out the psychic fuckers and what all that shit was about.

Edit: my best guess with the psychic thing is that since they control other species for food, Camen became addicted to the emotions and kept feeding it for his fix. This created a cycle of dependency on each other and they in a way mind bonded even more so when Camen was stored inside and that’s why he was so hell bent on going after the crew?

Idk, there are some gaps, so I’d love to hear what the leading fan theory is.

The reason you think the game is being handled in a weird way.

The main audience is China, not the USA.

I can’t believe everyone thought there was going to be a demo last night when the state of play aired at 10pm EST. That would mean everyone is already asleep or getting ready for bed on the west coast. You really thought they were going to drop a demo at that time? That was the first clue.

When S Game says they don’t care about releasing next to GTA 6 they mean it. Their main audience is China, that is who is mainly going to buy the game. Wukong sold like 10million copies the first year and the majority of those sells came from China.

The simple fact is they are not pandering to the West because this game is not for us first and foremost.

Look at Capcom, Onimusha had a demo AND…AND They moved the release date up to the week when Phantom Blade was supposed to come out this year. That matters because the main sells from Onimusha will be the West, Capcom has to pander to the United States.

So while it may seem like incompetence from our perspective, S Games is simply making sure Phantom Blade is done right for their main market, which also happens to be their homeland.

Hope that helps.

I just called Capital One to see if I could product change my Discover IT, and honestly Capital One keeps getting more sour by the day.

As you are aware a lot of Discover Cards are now showing up in the Capital One app. I figured I would call to see if I could product change. Obviously I knew it was pretty much impossible but I still just had to try.

Well, here are some things that I learned and keep learning. If you aren’t aware you can only product change cards if you have an offer on your account. This is terrible because it’s all AI driven. There is no one you can speak to that can over ride any of this, either the computer tells you what you can do or you can’t do it.

I’m basically stuck with my Venture X (poor me) because it seems I will never be able to downgrade it to the zero fee option. So I basically have to keep using the card or cancel it and lose that credit line. It’s insane quite frankly.

Amex and Chase will let you upgrade and downgrade no problem. And that just seems to go under the radar because most people early in this game aren’t thinking about leveraging their credit long term.

I’m serious guys, I am done just thinking about credit cards in terms of what the card has to offer. If the banks cannot help me leverage my credit. I’m out.

I can’t even change the Discover card to another Discover card. Capital One obviously has no plan in place and does not give a shit about the customer. This merger was a purely market cap move to grab up the payment network.

If you think they are interested in some Capital One trio with Discover cards, you’re mistaken, and if it does happen they sure as hell aren’t interested in helping you.

I’m so close to taking my money and switching banks. This is an AI heavy company that won’t let customer service help you. Three hard pulls to apply for a card. And to top it off their inquiry sensitive. This is what subprime looks like.

Edit: couple other things I just remembered. I asked is there any way to increase my chances to get these offers on my account since that’s the only way…nope, they don’t have a fking clue (I’m sure it’s just spend more money) but that’s crazy, that’d again proving they can’t do a thing.

Secondly, the representative told me to check my account for the offers more, I told her the problem with that is you’re giving me a part time job.

Again. I’m sour af. Capital One are amateurs.

Is there an earned income contribution difference for Roth 401k and Roth IRA?

Someone confirm something for me, I can’t trust AI on this one.

Anyways, if I work for one to two months and put my entire paycheck into my 401k equaling 7500 dollars, does that mean I can still contribute 7500 dollars to my Roth IRA?

I’m getting confused because I thought earned income was what I take home, and since I put my entire check into the 401k, I took home zero dollars.

How safe are connectivity jobs?

Storm water, distribution, transmission, services…you know all the utility stuff from gas to electric.

A small part of the GIS department I’m with was let go. They mainly focused on data entry and some SQL stuff.

Surely the connectivity jobs are safe? I mean, just from a basic standpoint of having to even digitize the assets in correctly would require cross checking pictures and as-builts to ensure it’s correct.

Just that workflow alone could be enough to stop the AI from replacing a job, right? At that point the more high level statistical raster and vector analysis could be handled by or improved with an AI, but the job should still be safe because the connectivity of the system could not be drawn in by the AI?

Need help with strategy. 20 year plan.

I will be retiring at 55 no matter what. For me it’s not about reaching a money number as it is reaching my age number. That’s another 20 years for me.

Right now I’m invested in VFFVX (TDF) for my Roth IRA and I’ve done plenty of research to know I’m more than comfortable enough to manage my own portfolio at this point, so obviously I’m thinking about switching it up to get rid of the bonds and allocate the portfolio to the ratios I want.

However, this is where I need help because the emotional component of money is strong, and well, I’ve grown attached to my TDF, and it’s doing well, so I’m thinking my strategy could be to just keep the fund but all future contributions go into something VTI or maybe a split with VXUS.

Either way, I just need to know if that’s okay to do, or should I just sell the TDF and buy the other funds now. Or maybe not do anything. Obviously my timeline is not 30 years, it’s 20 years.

My 401k is only VFIAX so maybe I’m already diversified enough between my 401k and Roth IRA?

Any thoughts would be helpful.

I’ve been beating Ganryu at least once a day since the demo dropped and I did something I haven’t seen before.

Can someone explain how I did this?

I’ve fought him over 50 times now and this is the first I’ve done this, anyways, the X and O prompt popped up for the first time and Mushashi grabs Ganryu’s arm and basically proceeds to break it.

I’m assuming it has something to do with Ganryu blocking because that seemed to trigger something. I have no idea how I did this and again I’ve fought him over 50 times at this point.

Yeah, after that video, we have a problem.

First, the stupid fking sword. I know damn well the devs have heard over and over it’s in a weird position. You don’t want it on the waist or above, fine, but at least fucking move it up diagonally so it’s symmetrical. The fact that the devs haven’t done something about this tells me they don’t give a flying fuck about the fans. It’s plain stupid looking and it’s the epitome of this game being half assed.

I’m telling you what, try me devs, I don’t care if the game is on sale for a dollar, I won’t buy unless the sword position is moved. If I was on PC, first thing I’d do is mod it.

Besides the janky animations and weird plastic character models, the dialogue is hilariously bad. This is definitely some of the old Witcher 3 devs, yellow text and two options, none of which mean anything other than what do you want to hear before the outcome is the same.

If the Witcher 4 has a dialogue tree like this I’d throw it in the trash immediately. What worked 10 years ago isn’t always going to work now and that kind of dialogue tree has aged poorly.

And then we have the Witcher senses all over again, look at some shitty clues on the ground and follow a trail. Like Christ, again, if the Witcher 4 pulls this crap…

Now on to the combat, we’ve seen it before, but really, pocket sand being thrown, that’s the best they could do? One of the lamest things I’ve seen, make the ability a stun bomb or something.

This game looks 40 dollars and that quest was anything but what was promised. I wanted the game to revolve around impactful choices against a timer, managing human and vampire resources, and a story that was gripping from start to finish.

And maybe that’s in there, but I’m sure as hell won’t be paying 70 dollars to get whatever experience the devs are putting out.

Oh, and one more thing. Move the damn sword to a better position. It’s driving me completely nuts.

(Spoilers)Just binged the show in a month. My thoughts

Just finished up the last episode and let me just start there. That was a fantastic series finale. I loved how they wrapped everything up. Everyone ended up in a realistic spot, and Jimmy’s funeral was bittersweet.

The only knock that I can give for the final season was that shit just started getting too crazy with what Jimmy and Lester were doing. It was hard to suspend my belief a little.

In terms of the seasons, my rankings, season 3, 1, 5, 4, and then 2.

Season 4 came close but season 5 really started closing things up in great ways, so for me, I just prefer that kind of story telling, so season 5 is better even with all the absurdity.

Now on to the one part of the show where I think it over played its hand and I definitely did not like it. And frankly, I’m pretty sure it’s bad writing.

Bodie getting killed was lame as fuck because Jim got him killed. And last time I checked didn’t the city have a witness killing problem, and didn’t they fail to protect Wallace. I know someone is going to say Jimmy was still patrol at the time so maybe he wasn’t as smart in that instance, but nah, it was sloppy from his character and like I said, just sloppy writing unfortunately. Jimmy should have easily known that was going to bring heat down on Bodie.

And on that note, I may bit a bit salty because Bodie was one of my favorite characters, in terms of the game, he played it extremely well, and he just got unlucky.

But for me that is the theme of the show, you gotta be a little lucky, and you can’t over play your hand.

Everybody that got dropped or ended up in a worse situation was always because they over played their hand. From Bell all the way to Omar, you either remain steady or you mess up eventually. You could argue Rawls might have played the game the best, hell, he was smart enough to get Jimmy the hell away from him, not Daniel’s though.

Besides Bodie, I think on the cop side, Bunk is my favorite. He just has that swagger to him, ya know.

Some final thoughts on the ending, I hated Marlo all the way through, but man, seeing him out on the street at the end, I gained a tiny bit of respect for him the way he handled the two hood kids.

And yeah, Baltimore goes on, you could argue they could just keep making seasons.

The show itself was great, but I would not put this in my top 10, it’s a well written and acted show, but it just never quite got there for me to put it up with the greats.

And season 2 really did not help, to be brief, Ziggy and even Nick were some of the worst characters I’ve seen on television.

And funny enough, I think it took to like Episode 5 or 6 of season one for me to truly be hooked. Not saying it’s necessarily a bad thing, but there’s a lot of information to digest upfront and luckily that didn’t turn me away. It’s actually one of the reasons why the show ends up being so great.

Anyways, I could keep rambling, but enough is enough, ultimately I’m sad it’s over.

This game is in a weird spot, on one hand I agree with all the complaints, the other hand I do think there is something special here.

The real question becomes how deep does the game get and how much does the game mechanically change over time.

I get the enemies are weak and it’s a bit brain dead, but that’s the starting area and the game clearly puts the skill to style in your hand.

I don’t know, I don’t want endlessly rant here, I think this game is going to be good no matter what, but my fingers are crossed by the end we’re doing some crazy shit.

It’s my first time driving in Europe and it’s been a little nerve wracking. Is Ring of Kerry and Slea Head safe?

I’ll be in Kenmare and I’m thinking of skipping ROK driving to Dingle and instead driving North through Killarney then Castlemaine to get to Dingle.

Which route is safer?

Another dumb tourist that needs advice on Ring of Kerry and Slea Head. Please help. First time driving in Europe.

So I’ve rented a car, first time driving in Europe, and well, it’s been a little terrifying unfortunately. The longer I drive the more safe I’ve been feeling but I seem to have a tendency to drift to the left and I’ve hit a few curbs already which has scratched up the hub cap, I’m sure I’ll have to pay for that. Anyways, I’ve already driven on some narrow roads and it’s okay, I’m just more concerned about causing traffic issues like getting stuck on a narrow road with no room, I don’t feel like I might get into an accident though.

So, here’s where I need help now that I’ve given some background. I would like to do Ring of Kerry and Slea Head, and from everything I’ve read it’s perfectly safe and what I’ve already handled will pretty much be similar.

I will be starting in Kenmare (coming from Kinsale) and going clockwise which means the buses will be coming at me, this does not scare me but I’m wondering if you all might think it would be better to go North through Killarney then onto Castlemaine to reach Dingle instead of ROK then do Slea Head? This seems like it would be less time on the road and could be safer?

Or should I just suck it up and do both ROK and Slea Head?

On a side question, I know there’s pull off spots but can I just pull over onto any flat grass if there’s room and stop?
