3 years today
Wanted to share it if it helps. The last 1 year I honestly didn't even remember i used to smoke(about 10 years).
The reason why I remember is cos its the 4th and im like oh yeah its been 3 years ! Wow. More energy. More stamina. No cravings. Mental clarity and barely any fog.
I used to love smoking, I didnt pick it up as a response to anything I jusy enjoyed it. But all through college and the years after that I could feel my health deteriorate, I missed being able to breathe deep and how that made me feel. It was a shitshow. I wish it didn't do what it did to my lungs but oh well. And so, one of the best things ive done in my life is this.
The first week was hard, severe withdrawals. The first month even more so, the cns was going crazy, the nicotine receptors dying in the brain gave me severe anhedonia etc. I followed a YouTube persons channel that basically helped me make sense of it all.
He broke it down so well like what happens week 1, 30 days 90s days .. and everyday was just waking up and binging his short vids just swapping that for my usual smoke routine. Ill write his name in the comments if anyone's interested.
