What happens when you stop smoking?

My husband has symptoms that match the predromal phase of chs pretty well but has not been actually diagnosed by a doctor. We are making a plan now for him to slowly wean off of weed, but his body is really sensitive, and I have seen some stories on here of symptoms getting worse when people quit. Any advice on what to expect? What symptoms people normally develop? How do we manage the symptoms? Thanks!

Can I get tips and tricks for raising a happy healthy Siamese kitty?

This sweet baby was found abandoned on our property and she has a cleft lip. When we found her she was maybe four weeks old but she weighed 0.8lbs. We assume that her cleft made it where she couldn’t latch well and that’s why the momma cat dropped her off, but we are just guessing. She has been to the vet and is medically healthy. He said she looks like a Siamese but we didn’t do an actual test. She can eat soft food perfectly fine and weighs 3lbs now and is about 8 weeks old.
Right off the bat she is clearly a much more people involved cat than our other kitties. I have never seen a cat that loves people this much, it amazes me! She follows us everywhere and is very talkative. Right now she has the cutest little squeak but I assume that’s because she’s a kitten. We try to make sure she gets lots of play time with both humans and cats. Her favorite toy is our fingers lol, she loves to nibble on them. She gets lots of snuggle time too, with both humans and cats. I have never raised a cat that was this young, and have also never raised a cat with as much personality as this baby has. What can I do to make sure she stays happy and healthy? Will she miss her Momma cat? Thanks!

Could my husband have CHS?

These dang news posts about how common it is has me scared, and I know they are way over diagnosing it, but when I was reading over the symptoms it kinda sounds like my husband, so I figured y’all would probably know way more than me. Can you help me figure out if my husband has CHS?
He is 33 yrs old and has a very complicated autoimmune disease so the list of things messed up in his body is like a mile long. I make him brownies (13x9 pan of brownies with 1/2oz of green that I turn into butter) to help his joints and that pan of brownies will last about two weeks.
He has random periods of morning nausea, lack of appetite, and difficulty eating. He describes it as kinda feeling like someone’s choking him. They last about a week or a week and a half, and then it goes away and won’t come back for a month or so.
He hasn’t tried a hot shower (and doesn’t want to cause he’s stubborn) and typically the brownies make him feel a bit better. Does that sound like CHS? Thanks in advance:)

What can we do to improve?

My husband (33m) has been diagnosed with mctd since February 2021. He has RA, sjorgens, lupus, raynolds, pulmonary hypertension, and was diagnosed with heart failure in October of 2025. Two days ago he had a grand mal seizure and spent some time in the hospital. He is home now but he is still sleeping all day and without pain meds his heart rate spikes dangerously high and even with pain meds it won’t go below 140bpm. He is not on an anti inflammatory diet but I did just begin researching it. Have any of yall experienced this? Do you have any advice? Thank you!

What if I’m not strong enough for this

My husband (33m) has a very complicated and rare autoimmune disease. It has been progressively getting worse for well over a year but this morning I woke up to him having a grand mal seizure. Seizures were never supposed to be a part of this disease. He is in the hospital now and I’m falling apart. Watching him suffer to such an extreme and seeing the pain and terror on his face when he finally woke up just broke me. He was so upset that he was slamming his head on the ambulance door when they finally got him out of the house. I don’t know what to do or how to survive. I’ve just been staring at him for hours, absolutely terrified that it’s going to happen again. I can’t handle living without him but at this rate he won’t even see our son graduate elementary school.

Im drowning and my husband is withering in front of me, I don’t know what to do anymore

I am 23 and my husband is 33, he was diagnosed with a severe autoimmune disease five years ago and it’s gotten to the point that recently he can’t eat, he’s in pain all the time, can’t walk more than a few feet, and honestly has no will to be alive. I already knew all of this and have been very concerned about his mental state for months and have been trying everything I can think of to help but we also have a five year old son so my attention is split between the two. He told me today that he feels trapped because he doesn’t have any will to keep living but he doesn’t want to leave us. He needs so much more help than I can give him and I am putting absolutely every bit of myself into helping him because he is my everything but I don’t know what to do anymore. I also have a full time job and when he can’t care for our son then our son goes to his grandparents and I am so scared he’s gonna k*ll himself one day. I already panic anytime he takes to long to answer the phone. I can’t even imagine living without him.

Just how many different brain things can I possibly have?!

I just discovered I have multi sensory aphantasia and severely deficient autobiographical memory, and I am spiraling, just how many different things are there?! And how is anybody who can see and hear and relive everything still sane?! I think I would go insane if my head was that loud! Is there some kind of quiz that I can take to find out every option my brain didn’t come with?

I think I failed my husband

My husband is very loving and is very verbal about it, which is amazing but I tend to be less verbal and more physical with my love. I tend to show my love by doing stuff for the other person especially without them having to ask. However, lately he has been very hard on himself and tonight he said he feels like he’s not good enough and that I am disappointed in him. I have been very frustrated the last couple weeks because he just got taken out of work on disability and our son is on summer break so in between paper work, trying to help him with medical care, making activities for our kid to do while I’m at work, and working 45 hours a week, I have been a little tense, but I most definitely do not feel disappointed in him. I’m actually incredibly impressed with how well he has managed so far, but with all the new changes and his memory being affected, I am almost constantly reminding him of stuff that he’s forgotten. I think I have failed to verbally let him know through all of this that no matter what I love him and am so incredibly proud of him. How do I make it up to him? I am absolutely going to make it a point to make sure I am more verbal with my praise and love, but he already struggles a lot mentally (as do I) and I want to make it up to him in any way I can.

What does my handwriting say about me?

Please forgive my cursive, I am only self taught so I mostly just do it because it’s fun. But I would absolutely love to know what my handwriting says about me!

My husband choked on water today and had a coughing fit that ended up with him getting sick. He’s perfectly fine now, but at that moment rather than being able to help him or be reassuring, I had to put all my energy in not running away. Now I feel so guilty, I cried and talked to him and he reassured me but I still feel like I was a terrible wife and he deserves so much better. I want to be able to help him or my child in those moments but instead I just have to put all my focus into not panicking. I often sneak away after they are okay to cry for a minute. Unfortunately they both have a sensitive stomach so they talk about feeling bad quite often. What do I do to help with the panic? I just want to be able to live without being in constant fear.
