If the Bible contains God's intended message, why would he communicate it through flawed human authors in a way that allows devout believers to reach contradictory interpretations?
Title. I was wondering how legitimate of a message the Bible is for Christianity, and I have heard a few Christians say they don't believe in the bible as a final authority. What do you think?
If a biblical command seems morally wrong by modern standards, should Christians assume that their moral intuition is wrong or reconsider their interpretation of the passage?
Title. I was trying to read the Bible and finished the first 5 books of the old testament. I'm quite surprised. What do y'all think? Idk if this is the right sub to ask Christians
Do you think churches should be taxed?
reddit.comMorals can exist independent of religion
I (17M) was saddened by how a number of people believe that holy books or God or whatever is necessary to be a good person. Why is an ancient text needed to determine that murder or stealing is bad? I quite dislike the fact that some people in the past assumed that my morality is 100% percent subjective, or that I have no moral compass. It's their god that actually doesn't. I was raised a Christian, Catholic specifically, and I too as a kid, assumed nonreligious ppl were automatically assholes, but if anything, over the years, it's seems to be the opposite. Before 100-110 AD, which iirc was the approximate authorship date for Revelation by John, slavery was widely accepted and women and homosexuals were treated as inferior. Once I realized people could be good without having a shred of knowledge or exposure to religion, that was one of my breaking points
How to deal with slight "discomfort" with women
This is def a me problem. I (17M) found out I was bisexual very recently, only early this year. I thought I was straight for the longest time, until... I wasn't. Anyways, I've only dated and been w girls, so idk how certain dynamics would work when I'm with a guy. However, one thing that bothers me is that when I wanna make advances on girls, I'm almost always worried abt their reactions if I accidentally overstep their boundaries. I feel like I'm walking on eggshells when one of us is in a position to make a move, and the girl almost never does. I worry that I might violate her barriers or smth, idk. So fantasizing abt having a bf and/or being intimate w a guy seems so liberating to me because I'm not as concerned w mistakes or pushing boundaries.
How do I stop being nervous, and be able to make moves on girls w more confidence?
Is this a Tre flip????
Title. I can't for the life of me tell whether it's spinning right or not lmao

How to Use P Powers
In Infinite Lives, I'm trying to use the crafting powers, specifically the ones where u have to press p. However, the only one that seems to work consistently is attraction. I'm on mobile btw. How tf do I use the other ones like alchemy, manifestation, etc? Everytime I try, my character tries to pick up air like he's delusional
