reapplication to oxford maths

relatively new to reddit, so apologies if this is the wrong format/breaking rules etc but this is less of an admissions question than it is a query about the course at oxford?

i'm thinking of reapplying for maths, as this year i applied to unis for economics (or maths and econ), but over the course of year 13, i've found myself really enjoying maths, especially core pure. i was wondering if anyone a) had any experiencing reapplying while on a gap year and how they found it b) anyone at all doing maths (i'm considering maths&philosophy but i need to do a bit more research on that) and how you've found the course especially in relation to maths at school

my main hesitation is that people say uni maths is very different to maths and fm alevel, which is obviously understandable, and its proof heavy? is that a significant jump where i might struggle? i'm not sure... thank you and any advice or opinions would be very appreciated...

this is probably more specific to oxford as i don't really fancy doing step lol but i guess the difference would be the same for any cam mathmos

219 days just to reject me...

i mean surely it did not take that long to look at my application... icl it acc reached a point where even if i got in i'd still be pissed bc they did not need to take that long....

bruh i'm acc so fed up like genuinely so guys let me have a crash out pls... if they don't even have the decency to send me an email explaining....

i thought it might be interesting to see what has happened in the world since i sent in my application:

- a 16 year dictatorship ended in hungary

- an entire us-iran conflict has occurred

- a gaza-israel ceasefire was reached after 15 months of war

- scientists successfully cultured the germ cells of the dodo

- thailand and lichenstien legalised same-sex marriage

- katy perry and justen trudeau officially became a thing

- the louvre (just like me) got robbed...

damn thats kinda crazy of u lse... but ok anyways.

i'm currently a student in with exams coming up. i have a college for the next year but i have begun to feel purposeless in life, this is affecting my motivation and strength to revise.
i find myself worrying about the future (especially with getting a job) as i don't really know what i want from life. a lot of this came from being rejected by my goal uni, for which i had prayed a lot.
i worry that in the future and at university i will have no direction and no sense of purpose. any advice on how to solve this pls? thank you.
