Negative reaction to rice in skincare?

Fairly new to Korean skin care and I’m noticing some products seem to cause very serious irritation. I’ve been having trouble figuring out what the common element is. But after doing some analysis, I’m noticing the products that caused the irritation all have rice. Is there such a thing as an allergy or bad reaction to rice in skin care?
