I realized I might have a fetish for grammar. I bought myself a textbook for Japanese grammar studies my professor recommended, but the more I studied, the more aroused I get. I can't even sleep without thinking about sliding in my particle between the split copula. Is there anyone else with similar experiences?
So earlier I learned about how -san suffix is used in Kansai-ben from Jinnai Tomonori’s skit. He said when it is attached, there must be a っ as in 山本さん⇒やまもっさん or 川口さん⇒ かわぐっさん. However, in most examples in the video, the names mostly end with a タ行 mora (and one サ行 in 恵比寿さん, if I didn’t misheard it). Also, I know how -han is also used there, so the question is: is it the case that -san suffix always turns the mora which starts with a coronal obstruent (サ行 and タ行) to a sokuon っ but debucalizes to -han elsewhere? For example, かなたさん would beかなっさん and たなかさん would be たなかはん? Thanks in advance.
