Ep 12 lol mahiru offering food like a commercial is funny to me

But she truly lived up to the name of the angel next door cause she spoiling him rotten

And the bunny outfit was tooo cutttte!

So overall, my thoughts on Season 2 are kind of complicated. While I thoroughly enjoyed Season 2 and pray for a Season 3, or at least the Season 2 English dub to come out soon...
This season was a fun, warm, fuzzy, and also very horny/sexual ride.
I actually really enjoyed the upgrades made from Season 1 to Season 2.
The colours felt very warm and comforting, which complemented the extra expressiveness of the characters. Whether it was the actual facial expressions or the chibi animation, it was really fun to see the closed-in-shell versions of Amane and Mahiru break out of it and be upfront about their feelings.
The animation felt way cleaner while still paying homage to the original style.
It was awesome seeing the husband-and-wife dynamic that Amane and Mahiru have.
And this last episode perfectly captured that.
I was smiling the whole time.
It was also interesting to see Itsuki and Chitose's challenges and why his father dislikes her so much.
Seeing Itsuki and Chitose open up to Amane about their situation was really nice.
The parents also had a lot of really great and down-to-earth moments.
Amane's dad saying he'll pay for the wedding...
And Amane's mom definitely came in clutch a few times.
Like talking with Itsuki's dad.
It was cool seeing Ayaka as well.
Though I think my favourite—but also most frustrating—part is Amane and Mahiru navigating how to get physical with each other.
I've said this before: it's not necessarily a bad thing to be so hardcore about taking responsibility like Amane is.
I respect him for that, and it shows how much he cares for Mahiru and truly loves her.
But he's so focused on not hurting her that he's not allowing himself to make a mistake.
Again, that's not a bad thing. In fact, it should be praised. Their relationship is what it is because of that. But at the same time, it might lead him to miss some of the signs from the very clearly tempting Mahiru.
On a more serious note, very few relationships go that perfectly. They should be aware that they can make mistakes, and that's okay. Though I guess that connects to the teenage mindset of fearing mistakes.
So it's not so much an issue as it is a personal gripe.
With all that said, I don't know how I feel about it in comparison to Season 1.
A lot of things were better about this season compared to Season 1.
But this season kind of evolved into an excessive amount of flirting—and I mean excessive.
And that's not a bad thing, since the later half of Season 1 was basically that as well.
We basically wanted to see them flirt a lot and watch their love flourish.

However, I think they may have swung the pendulum a bit too far.
It's tough because while I enjoyed it, I also wish there was something else for us to focus on. It doesn't even have to be a major narrative, but rather some kind of development for the two of them.
There were non-flirting moments, but I wish there was more progression in the relationship, or a continuation of that progression from Season 1.
A few relationships that do what I'm looking for are:
Rascal Does Not Dream — Mai and Sakuta

Blue Box — Chinatsu and Taiki

Tonikaku Kawaii — Tsukasa and Nasa

The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity — Kaoruko and Rintaro

These are relationships that have plenty of cute, flirty, and sweet moments and are pretty similar to Amane and Mahiru

But what I think those series do really well is that, alongside the flirting, they continue to introduce new challenges, milestones, and character growth that make the relationship feel like it's constantly moving forward.
Of course, not every romantic relationship needs to follow the same formula, but if I were to compare it to Season 1, it felt like that sense of progression was missing. Instead, Season 2 leaned much more heavily into showing how much Amane and Mahiru love each other, rather than giving their relationship another meaningful step forward.

Though I was drooling for this in s1 so I guess they did deliver 😂

And I did throughly enjoy the sugar bomb that was s2 amane and mahiru

That said, maybe if I watched it as a binge, my opinion would change. I watched this season episodically, compared to Season 1, which I binged. I don't know—maybe it's just me.
But I still thoroughly enjoyed Season 2 and can absolutely call it peak.
Now I just pray for a Season 3, or at least the Season 2 English dub.

lol amane kinda deserved the shame this episode but it’s also very sweet that he wants to be the one who earns and buys the ring

But Amane really needs to let go of his pretense of being a burden on those around him

It kinda makes me think of a quote from the damanchi series

“Self deprecation that goes beyond humility is not a good trait”

This feel like a similar problem to that despite being on the opposite side of the spectrum

In Amane case it not being aware of the presence and the effect he had on the people around him

So it like chitose said when he relys on someone else for help first even though he technically closer to itsuki or chitose or not even talk to them

Ofc they can be a little cheesed about

So he kinda deserved the black mail you know 😅

So finally finish s2 been busy so putting it off cause got extremely busy and starting with this episode first
Off got dang mahiru hot! And she look good in that swimsuit

Though it less tame than what I imagine based on her reaction from before but it still gives her a mature vibe where as her white one gives her cute a playful look

Quite literally cute angel vs the seductress devil

You know as much as I love amane and mahiru relationship and I really do

One of things I find so frustrating is that there are so hard and focus on not hurting the other person more so amane

Obviously this a great trait for a relationship

To prioritize your partner happiness above all else but at the same time bottling up everything or focusing so hard on not messsing up can be excruciating

But I guess it goes to show how kind they are

But they may ended up missing each other signs

Like mahiru not knowing about amane limit 😂
Jokes aside Obviously making sure your partner not hurt is a good thing, but they really need to face that it ok to make a mistake! Though I guess not wanting to make a mistake is normal for high school teen romance anime or not “reminds me of I want to end this love game during the ep9-11 arc”

And considering what happen in there past it make sense but still a gripeI have with them!

But overall this episode was cute and goat chitose for pushing Mahiru to be more aggressive

And double goat dad for understanding amane intention perfectly. 😁

These outbreaks are very awesome as we know basculin a night mare

And I was exploring dondozo the other day and it seem difficult without a out breaks

But I extremely happy about the tatsugiri out breaks and how there seperate by colour

I caught these 2 on Wednesday and Thursday and knew I have to hunt for the last one which one have been difficult without a hunt

So something I love about pokemon violet is how easy it is to hunt for shinies with out the shiny charms

And how many of them are competitively viable I’m a champions players

But this little demon was so painful to hunt 😂 im almost sad I have to evolve this cause this shiny looks very nices!

Now onto hisuian zoroark and Basculegion send help 🥹

Considering how itsuki dad reacted to amane parents thoughts and the context we got from itsuki

I think his dad knows he’s being kind un reasonable but he can’t help but feel that way.

Considering what happen with his other son and what seem like his own position with his family and giant responsibilities he has

Having someone who reminds him of a cause that nearly threw his life into chaos

It kinda makes sense why he feels so adamantly against chitose

That said as amane parents where saying forcing or rejecting itsuki decision will and already has back fire dramatically!

I tell my sister this but “I’ll always have your back but I’ll also tell you when I think your wrong”

However forcing your opinion down there throat and disregarding there opinion is a completely different ball game!

Knowing the context I get why daiki so worried and out right hates her. but at the same time disregarding itsuki opinion isn’t the right answer

Feels like he needs to have a honest chat with itsuki which seem he hasn’t done rather than just orders!

And I think itsuki needs to have a honest chat with him and also more importantly chitose!

Before i contiune mvp to amane parents i think they made things easier for both sides!

Obviously him running off from his dad is all that he can do for now. Consider he understands why his dad doesn’t like her and that he wants to keep chi safe

But he can’t run from him forever, and I think him running is adamantly making things worse which just creating a never ending cycle

And while it is nice and very kind of itsuki to keep why itsuki dad dislike her so much I get why!

In do so I he kinda is stunting there relationship and why they can’t make progress. Not to mention his disliking her without knowing the cause would probably weigh on her it would for me atleast

And ultimately it shouldn’t be his decision to make on there relationship it should be something itsuki and chitose talk about face him together!

Though I get why!

Now on to more fun topics

I started to grind on my gears how un self aware how good of a aperson and how hot he is. 😂

Like obviously he has a confidence issue! Though he’s much better that before it’s like man

You know despite us know itsuki dad hates chitose for whatever reason

This isn’t the reaction of someone who out right hates someone atleast to me

But rather the reaction of someone who knows he’s being unreasonable though maybe I’m looking to much into it

I’m curious about why he dislikes her so much

Today episode was quite fun and adorable and it was cute seeing the gang not know how to react to there fandom

Though considering they been hated for so long this must be shocking

Liko face to other liko of shock and bewilderment 😂
I was little worried about what horizons was gonna be now that rakua is over but hey I’m all for this

I loved the rakua adventure and was worried for what comes next but it’s kinda nice seeing the gang not having to save the world and just enjoy being on there adventure

Also the battle it self was really good! Seeing both world logic and game logic mix to together

That pichu was a menace because wanvial didn’t want to hurt it 😂

And makes me hype to use the raichu in champions cause both raichus seem pretty powerful

And I’m guessing this episode was to build hype for the release in the next season!

Also since they acknowledged gmax I wonder if and when z move and gmax come to champions we will be getting episode dedicated to them

I wonder if they eventually explore more of area zero since there bringing all the story lines from the game

And with them eventually meeting koraidon and Miraidon

The chibi went crazy this episode and I love it!

Also she scary with wasabi. 😂

She definitely has a fetish and amane touching fetish and amane smell fetish 🥹

You know I’m almost like yep that happen there down tremdously bad 😂 I remember I got this feeling in ep 4 though that was amane not mahiru

Also if your gonna be embarrassed why say it 😅

It was cute amane jealous of the other guy seeing his wife as a maid

Though that one sentence blew it all away

Amane really does need more confidence in himself

I recently found this out but mega chesnaught and mega chandlure have insanely good synergy!

New team id built

I’ve really come to like using villvion compound eyes sleep powder is very stronk

Though I’ve also like using friend guard

And I really like using mega chesnaught as secondary mega

This just the standard iron defense set but chesnaught gets a lot of interesting utility move that I want try!

Also chesnaught and chandlure can becomes monster next to oranguru

Also really proud how strong this team feel even with not meta pokemon!

Haven’t had a chance to watch the last 3 ep recently so finally sitting down to watch it

This episode is quite depressing to say the least in a good way

I do agree think amane right as in her dad does care about her in his own way
But overall is too a shame to face her over guilt and regret of the past and the overall distance between them

And is using the distance to stay at the distance if that make sense since he can’t face her

And I do think he does want to apologize but wouldn’t know where to begin or if he has the right to anymore

And despite what Mahiru says about not caring she says all these things in such a self degrading way almost if was just a matter fact or certainty

Yet atleast to me it almost feels like she saying these thing 2 be proven wrong. Like it her wish/expectation yet is so tired at this point

She says these things with absolute certainty

What I do like about amane meeting with her father is that he never try to dig into reason why she was neglected but just on why he was there

One day I think Mahiru will need to face up to her parent

If for nothing to have closure on the past cause even though she no longer cares about the weight she feels that weight is still there

Also I really love the piano music at the end

Recently got a shiny emboar so thought I make a mega emboar team

Emboar definitely not as bad people say it is like I’m surprised at some of the kos it’s gotten

The attack stat I think is pretty soild

Only issue since it function without a ability it kinda feels like a glass cannon ball

Where it can hit somethings really hard
And somethings decent

And many things ok

But since it has trouble sticking it feels awkward

But it is fun
I decide to pair with a coaching strats which helps feel really soild

I know there not many but if any of the few people who want to try emboar I recommend coaching! 😅
Though it depends heavily on it

Though I’m thinking of maybe trying some other damage multipler don’t know what yet

Before the season ends wanted to share this team I’ve created!

I’ve been messing around with mega Delphox and while full speical attack and speed are really strong

I really like the bulky calm mindset wolfey created!

I really like dual megas and was trying to fine a good partner for Delphox in or out of mega form and the only one that felt really solid to me was mega chesnaught

Chesnaught is underwhelming I will give it that but it does feel a lot strong than people give it credit for and should be a menace with rillaboom!

I tried a bunch of moves and land on feint mega chesnaught which feels very stronk makes him a annoying enabler for the rest of my team

Especially Delphox or vivillon!

Though what I really like about chesnaught is that actually match up fairly decently into Delphox weakness of kingambit and bascueleigon in trick room!

Plus speical type ghost attackers!

Also vivillon is a goated support Mon!

Though I’m not totally set on the grass move for chesnaught! 😅 I was trying wood hammer for a while but it felt like it made me to frail

So I swap to bullet seed but not doing enough damage so I’m considering seed bomb!

Anyways just wanted to share this team I built!

Favourite moment of ep 5

Despite the natural aura and the amount of rizzing this episode had! Like seriously amane and mahiru where both a dude and a chick magnet to both themselves and every one around expect for chitoise and itsuki 😅

And amane going to over drive of as you command my lady and getting the prize in one shot!

I think this is my favourite moment! And this episode theme of not letting things in the past hold power over than anymore

Hanada and amane talking about what happen

But also chitose and her own insecurity with the disapproval from itsuki father

I really liked amane answer since it not only put in the sincerity of his feelings while also not dismissing chitose own worries.

but also help guide her to find her own answer
That she already knows

That the feelings she feels for itsuki are more than enough and shouldn’t let others judgment effect that!

It’s coming full circle cause this was a lesson he had to learn and accept last season

Amane really is such a great guys those old bully don’t what they missed out on

Mahiru really has an amazing man right next to her!

I’m just wondering in the preview for episode 6 is that maihru dad? If so I can understand why amane has such a grim look on his face this is gonna be tough one isn’t it

Didn’t this happen back in s1 where mahiru mom showed up in ep 6 or 7?

So this is a team I’m working and I actually really like it. Has really great synergy and delphox and chesnaught are actually really great together as paired megas

However basculegion is still a bit of a threat with will-o-wisp can help leash aqua jet an kingambit for delphox so it’s not a instant lost

But last respect does so much damage 😅

Rotom and aegislash shadow sneak is not a bad answer and those 2 can handle the fish but it still difficult especially considering how fast it can next to how hard it can hit

That’s why I though instead of rotom maybe gyrados also trying intimidate gyrados

Combining it with both friend guard and will-o-wisp the damage become manageable and the actual fight does become much cleaner

But problem is that now I become to physically attack forward

Delphox is obviously a beast but it’s hard for it be the only one since vivilon was more support

And the only one I could drop is aegislash but if I do that I lose anyway to hit fairy types for good damage

What do you think I should do?

The 2 options in my mind are either

A) go wolfey set with Delphox and give will-o-wisp to rotom

B) if hisuian zoroark learns a poison or steel move maybe role with him

C) compound eyes sleep powder?

Though I’m open to any other ideas

Something I heard that the anime was going really fast in the light novel and I will say we where getting rapid fire moments in atleast the first 2 episode

But is nice we slowed down a bit and enjoyed this more slow paced focus episode on them growing closer

Though I thinks it’s so funny one second it’s the most heart warming moment in the world the other seconds it’s who can turn on the other one more

And I love this show for doing that 😂🥰
