A reminder that, should we meet aliens, basic things about them like morphology and locomotion may seem decidedly... alien.

In the modern world - not any historical past - when is a war of territorial expansion and aggression justified?

Justified is simple as a concept:

When is it noble, needed, and imperative for a nation to use violence to expand their borders?

Should Ken Paxton suspend his U.S. Senate campaign in Texas if he committed voter fraud?

https://www.texastribune.org/2026/07/07/ken-paxton-voting-election-law/

> The Texas attorney general appears to have used an address where he did not live while voting in six elections in the past two years — despite his warning voters that “it is illegal to misrepresent your residence on election records.”

> “You must register to vote using the address where you reside,” the attorney general’s guidance stated.

^ Ken Paxton was that Attorney General.

If Ken Paxton:

  • Registered to vote
  • Where he did not live
  • And voted on that registration
  • He committed a paper trail felony under TX law
  • He seems to have done this six (6) times

Should Paxton step aside for committing voter fraud?

Should all politicians be forced to fall on the blade of their own public standards?

What is a reasonable explanation as to why Trump, as he has often mentioned, keeps taking medical cognitive tests? Why are those given to seniors?

Why is it seen as outrageous to scientifically challenge a UFO debunk?

Why exactly does everyone accept a debunk as instantly settled?

Over in the Star UFO post, someone argued it was a transient flash of light from a lens flare and provided a still image of some FLIR thing that sure did support his position on debunking the 90 second video.

Someone pointed out that lens flares don’t last 90 seconds, or keep the same silhouette across multiple focal length changes.

You know, because a silhouette is caused by solid matter blocking light. A lens flare is… light energy caught by a camera. They’re not even the same state of the universe.

Why don’t the collective we line up all these fish in a barrel weak debunks and debunk them?

I thought that was called “science”. When did our “side” lay down and abandon it?
