Hi, after June update my Super Fast Charging stopped working, it would only charge 8W max, also with one side not charging, even type-C headphones won't work, i tried everything, cleaning, different bricks, cables, checking dumpstate with ChatGPT, all seems normal except PD negotiations, it took me 2+ weeks to resolve that problem, so let's head to how to fix it.
So if you had those symptoms:
- There no fast charging, only slow ≈8W
- Headphones not working
- Only one side is charging
- It charging but stopping after some time
Here's what you need to have and do to fix:
- Old Samsung Type-A 15W charger, or similar with output (15W 9V 1.67A), (10W 5V 2A)
- Samsung old Type-A to Type-C cable, or similar, (Type-C connector must be like on photo)
- Open Device Care>Battery and keep it on to see if that work
- *Connect charger with Type-C connector facing stich upward (Check photo)
- Look at charging status on Device Care>Battery, it should jumping from Charger connected to Fast charger connected, or stay at fast(Preferably)
- Let it charge like that some time, then try your PD charger, also connect with stich facing upward*, first time it could be unstable, it took me 2 tries to get it back
Known issues and nuances:
- Not all cables or charger would do the trick, tried with xiaomi power bank and other cable it won't work, could get fast charging but unstable, probably because cable
- Cables that work probably those who doesn't have all Type-C pins, i leave it on photo
- As GPT said it probably bugged PD negotiations and fast charging, doing what i described should reset some of it logic, can't say for sure
- *Side with stich thing because that side won't work normally, phone didn't see it at all, somehow old brick forces it to work, that was in my case, for you it might be different so if that your case just change orientation

As i see, that whole situation about fast charging gone after update not so rare and happened to lot of people, and i in that list
What i have and uncovered
- Doesn't charge with one side of cable
- Charging only ±8W or ±2000mAh Max
- Sometimes work with other side of cable, mostly when hot 40C⁰ but not for long
- After i entered maintenance mode it start charging normally, probably because temperature but i was to impatient and turned battery protection and lost my fast charging
- File transfer works but not both sides
- Type C earphones doesn't work
- Send my logs to chatGPT, together we found out there problem with PD communication:

Answering common questions:
- I tried different cables and bricks, no change at all
- Charging port clean and undamaged
Honestly i hope and think it software issue and i would try somehow resolve it without disassemble my phone, because i dont have trusted service around and my phone still untouched inside
Anyone who had that issue if you can, i want to compare dumpstates to find some similarities and potentialy resolve that problem
There no difference when i use buds 3 pro, but when i use only speakers it works
