Lately this past week I’ve been seeing a sort of retaliation against the iconic "😭💢" emoji combo that’s rampant in moe/loli characters' comments section across all sorts of social media (particularly Twitter and TikTok). It’s really funny how some of these people now are fighting back fire with fire by using "anti-lolicon" emoji combos.
"Why are they simping for X when Y is literally right there!?" Jeez idk maybe because not every single person out there shares your preferences? Sure you can hate on a type of character design but that doesn’t mean another person who likes that type of design that you hate must be a degenerate or something. I swear this whole anti & "holier than thou" mindset on gacha tiktok is getting real tiresome.
For example, in the ZZZ tiktok community there’s been some videos lately of people hating on a content creator because he loves Qingyi (which is quite an understatement because he REALLY loves Qingyi) because she’s one of those small/petite gacha girls. Liking small/petite gacha girls is NOT as horrible as how these usual suspects claim it is. At worst, the content creator I mentioned before is just a weird guy with a massive obsession for a fictional character.
I’m crine😭 why does that sub have so much beef with them? People complain because their art is ooc or some other arbitrary reason but that’s pretty much it lol, it’s not like they’re problematic or something.
The only time they somewhat irked me was when they make ntr art like Seth getting cucked, but that’s just me. I don’t get why people make such a fuss about it over there, just block ‘em & move on if you don’t like their stuff.
I’m primarily talking about ZZZ here but I feel like this also applies to other gacha games.
It still annoys the hell out of me from back in ZZZ 2.8 when those people were absolutely hating on Promeia for her character design while glazing S Billy for being much better & would sell more than her (in which he ended up breaking an all-time low in terms of revenue😔).
I love Billy & the other male agents, I wish there could be more male agents & what can be done with them, but with how they don’t sell as well & the egregious audience they can bring, we won’t be seeing something like that happening for a while.
+ having beautiful waifu-material female agents (which I’m not complaining about) definitely sells much better to the target audience than dudes lol.
