Wudang Qigong: "White Tiger Patrolling the Mountain" (Form 2 of the Four Symbols)

Whether you practice Tai Chi or Qigong for health, this form is fantastic for deep breathing, posture alignment, and upper body flexibility.

☯️ The TCM & Cosmological Origin

In ancient Chinese cosmology, the White Tiger (Baihu) corresponds to the West, representing the Autumn season and the Metal Element.

  • Target Organ: According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the Metal element rules the Lungs (with its sensory opening at the nose).
  • Purpose: The linear, focused power of this form is specifically designed to open the chest, regulate lung Qi, moisten respiratory dryness, and nourish the internal organs.

🧘 Key Health & Physical Benefits

  • Cardiopulmonary & Chest Opening: The expansion and retraction movements stretch the rib cage and pectorals, encouraging deep diaphragmatic breathing.
  • Bilateral Coordinated Tension: By pushing one palm forward while pulling the other back, you build functional opposite tension across your shoulder girdle and spine.
  • Lower-Body Rooting: Performed from a grounded horse stance (Ma Bu), it builds isometric leg strength and opens the hip joints.
  • Finger/Wrist Mobility: Employs the "Open Tiger's Mouth" palm shape, which flexes and strengthens the tendons of the hand as they contract into "tiger claws."

Four Symbols Form 3: Vermilion Bird Dancing (Free Course)

❤️‍🔥 Boost Your Heart Vitality & Emotional Well-Being with the Vermilion Bird's Dance! ❤️‍🔥

In the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Qigong practices, the legendary Vermilion Bird (朱雀 - Zhūquè) rules the South, the season of Summer, and the vital element of Fire.

While its celestial dance symbolizes cosmic balance in the stars, it also acts as a profound metaphor for human wellness, radiant health, and internal harmony.

🌟 HEALTH BENEFITS OF THE VERMILION BIRD'S ENERGY:

  1. Cardiovascular Health & Proper Circulation 💓 In TCM, the Vermilion Bird directly governs the physical heart, pericardium, and small intestine. Harnessing this fiery energy through focused Qigong forms or active traditional dance helps support heart health, lower systemic inflammation, and promote healthy blood flow throughout the entire body.

  2. Emotional Resilience & Joyful Living 🧘‍♀️ The Fire element is the seat of our emotions. When in harmony, it transforms stress, anxiety, and agitation into feelings of profound joy, love, and enthusiasm. Immersing yourself in the rhythm of this dance calms an overactive mind and lifts the spirit, making it a great natural antidote for chronic stress.

  3. Physical Vitality, Balance & Coordination 💃 Engaging in the expressive movements inspired by the Vermilion Bird—which combine powerful extensions and fluid pacing—is a fantastic way to improve physical balance and joint mobility. It infuses the nervous system with raw vitality, shaking off sluggishness and boosting your daily creative energy.

Watch this video to tap into your natural vitality, open up your heart meridian, and let your inner spirit rise from the ashes!

Tai Chi Four Symbols Qigong

We are so excited to release the form 1 of Four Symbols Qigong: Azure Dragon Churning Water. The description of it can be found on our news page.

In TCM, the "Azure Dragon" corresponds to the East and the Wood element, which directly governs the liver and eyes. This form uses large, fluid circular arm swings combined with a stable Horse Stance (Ma Bu) to "churn" internal energy, effectively dredging the liver meridians and relieving the stagnation often caused by long hours of desk work or emotional stress.

What makes this course special is that it features a joint demonstration between a Master and a student. We focused on showing the "real-time" adjustments, like maintaining the Mingmen point (lower back) alignment and coordinating the wrist rotation with weight shifting, so you can see how the form adapts to different levels of practice. It’s an excellent way to soothe the liver, improve eyesight, and unify body and mind through slow, rhythmic movement. If you've been feeling physically stiff or mentally "stuck" lately, this is a powerful form to add to your daily regimen!

It is a great thank to Master Yin Shiqian for the time and effort to film this course and the trailer. You are very welcome to visit the master in-person, or write a review on the course page after practice, so the master can reply to you.

Wudang Xiao Yao Fan Full Demo

We wanted to share a fascinating internal martial arts routine that deserves a bit more spotlight: Wudang Xiao Yao Fan, also known as the Wudang Carefree Fan or Leisurely Fan.

Originating from the Daoist monasteries of the Wudang Mountains, this form looks like a beautiful, flowing dance at first glance, but it is a highly practical short-weapon system.

The name Xiao Yao comes from Daoist philosophy meaning "unbound wandering" or "absolute freedom." The mindset is all about moving through combat without tension. The core strategy relies heavily on the classic concept: "Avoid strength, enter through weakness"

Beyond self-defence, it's an incredible moving meditation. It builds serious wrist flexibility, core stability, and agile footwork, all while promoting deep breathing and Qi flow.

Do any of you practice martial fan forms? Leave a comment below.

Swallow practice

This lazy way of swallow practice is for those suffering from poor digestion, abdominal distension, weak spleen and stomach, dry mouth and sub-health conditions. It introduces three key acupoints under the tongue: the central Jinjin Point and the bilateral Yuye Points. It teaches you to focus your awareness on this area and use mental intention to guide the gentle rotation of the internal energy field, nine times to the left and nine times to the opposite direction. You will learn how natural saliva forms during the practice, understand its connection with internal Qi, and master the correct way to swallow this natural nectar.

It costs only about 3 minutes to practice. Whenever you are available, after wake up, during lunch break or afternoon tea time, etc.

BTW, login is required to access courses. We always put our user data security on the highest priority. You are welcome to leave a message for discussion, or directly write a review to share your learning experience on the course page. Thank you all.

Have you ever heard of/tried Lazy Baduanjin?

We recently came across the concept of "Lazy Baduanjin" (often practiced lying down, sitting, or in a highly relaxed, modified state), and we are pleased to invite Master Yin Shiqian for the demo. We have learnt some forms can literally help out in both mind and body, especially for those who are getting recovered, or don't have much time for an entire practice. It's a great method to practice before or after work, and it only takes about 5min to practice. Each of the 8 forms points to specific practice, and targets specific organ health.

If you have interest learning more about it, please feel free to discuss!
