Stuck on oil at edge?

I have been using my Strata and love it. However i still have one more question about cleaning.

Usually after some sort of higher heat frying, the vertical edge of the pan would have grease that is burnt on. It is a bit tacky running my fingers over and is not flat. It is not washable with normal method like disk soap. I have cleaned them but it requires intensive scrubbing with chain mail or steel wool.

Is it something I should scrub off? Or just ignore and keep using it as it? It does bother my perfectionist brain that it is not smooth smooth.

I attached 2 pictures. First one is the side with these stuck oil. The second one is the opposite side of the same pan that feels metal smooth.

Hotel pet fee is getting ridiculoous

While more and more hotels are "pet friendly" because they are no longer carpeted, the pet fee has only gone higher and higher.

I am not a stranger to pet fee, I have been traveling periodically with my dogs for 10 years. I am now seeing most of the hotels are charging a per night per pet fee, adds up to half or sometimes even more than the actual room cost. I am only seeing this in the last few years. Before they'd usually change a per night fee or a fixed fee for the entire stay.

Sure additional vacuuming or extra cleaning cost some more, but these hotels are all LVP hard floorings. They have to washing the beddings with or without pets. If there are actual pet damage sure. It does not cost 3x to clean the room because the dog was there for 3 nights vs 1.

It sure feels like it is a way to charge more because they can, especially when the pet fee ended almost as much as the actual room.

My recent road trip I ended up staying almost exclusively in Motel 6 because they are the only place that does not charge anything extra for pets. The only non motel 6 hotel I stayed at charged $25/night, but reasonable pet fee like that was a rare find.

Enough of these heart tokens. Put them in wallet/material already!

This is stupid. No putting them in bank is not a solution.

Ever since I started using CS I use SO many paper towels. Wiping on and off oils etc.

I feel so wasteful. Do you have alternative that is reusable? I am thinking about a dedicated sponge (never for dish washing), but I don't know if it can absorb oil well, and how I would remove oil from it. Not a fan of the idea of a bunch of oily rags either...

Ideas?
