Masking tape
My mom and I were sorting our seeds and needed to label the tins, so I was trying to tell her to get either the masking tape or our labels we keep in the kitchen for labeling foodstuffs, but I couldn’t remember the “masking” part so I just went with the color of the tape lol

Hello! I am just starting my research into possibly getting a folding bike/trike for when I travel (I want to go eclipse chasing, and I don’t drive, so it’ll be a lot of international trips, about once a year or two, but I can also use it for general exercise or domestic trips too). However, very little review pages exist, so basically all I currently know is that lightweight folding bikes/trikes (even the electric and recumbent kinds) do exist.
That said, I have a bad back (likely slipped a disk about a year and a half ago), and in general (even before the slipped disk), I have to have a back to my chairs, or else I will subconsciously slouch and I will be hurting within a few minutes. So, I’m also looking at possibly getting a recumbent bike/trike.
So, here are the specs I’m looking for, and I understand if not all of them can be met. Since I’m still in the early stages, I don’t have a true budget yet, but I would prefer not to spend an arm and a leg lol (like no more than $2k preferably, but definitely no more than $5k).
* ultra lightweight. The bikes I saw were 20-25lbs+, which is definitely my upper limit, but I really would prefer 20lbs or less due to my back, but I understand if that’s not possible.
* can be folded small enough and remain that way to clip onto a backpack or something so I don’t have to carry it with my arms when not using it. I saw some that could fit INTO a backpack or had their own bag, which miiiight also work, but I think I would prefer to be able to clip it onto a backpack or something, since I’m likely going to carry a backpack of some sort when walking around to carry the essentials.
* would be nice but aren’t required: electric, recumbent. I would prefer both of these, especially the electric, but they aren’t absolutely required. Especially since with electric, you have to be careful with taking those kinds of batteries on planes and stuff. The recumbent would be great for my back as mentioned earlier.
* I’m good with either a bike or trike. I haven’t ridden a bike since I was a teenager I think, and even that was a tandem bike and I wasn’t focusing on balancing, so a trike might be better for me anyway, but I could also probably learn to balance easily on a bike. I’m also autistic, and I have core memories of my bike falling over in the middle of a driveway as a child (before the tandem bike) and cars wanting to drive into them (one memory was at the local library), so I felt like I had to rush to try to get the heavy bike out of the way and I was scared so it didn’t make me feel good. … *shudders* … Yea, I think I might want a trike, but I guess the bike could also work if I practice enough…
I’m also open to any other tips and tricks for things, as well as gear (like helmets and gloves and elbow/knee guards and anything else I might need). Thank you in advance!
Edit: oh! All terrains will likely be ridden, so I would also like it to be able to handle both rugged terrain and city/concrete terrain if possible!
Edit 2: attempt at fixing formatting. (Didn’t work, so I’m sorry the bullet points are like that lol)
Edit 3: oops, I forgot a lot of recumbent bikes/trikes are hand-pedaled! Foot-pedaled is what I’m looking for, but if hand-pedaled is the only way to get everything else, that’s totally okay!

I finally got around to asking my mom for help today since I have another mobile tomorrow and I really just want to get this project done. With some tools, we were able to finally get the knots out! I kept thanking her profusely during the process, since it very quickly became clear that we wouldn’t need to cut it!!! Took a couple hours, but *holy crap* I’m so freaking happy!!!
