Normal for only 31 credits to transfer in?

Finally received my transcript evaluation. I do have a bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field (exercise science), so I figured I *would* have a lot of classes. Says I am only 25%ish of the way through and have about 90 credits left.

I took so many math classes while undergrad, I thought this may help me, but it does not seem so! I am not taking any Sophia classes as my state will not recognize them.

Any advice on weaning for 8 days and than returning!?

I have bit of a unique situation. Toward the end of August, I will be donating bone marrow and have to take injections for 5 days and cannot breastfeed during this time, or for 72 hours after.

My baby is 12 months and is eating solids really well, so it’s mostly for comfort. I am just not ready to completely give it up and am hoping he will pick it up again after the medication is out of my system.

The biggest issue is sleep. For many of his naps, I nurse him to sleep, but especially at night and throughout the night. Even though he is my second I feel as though I have no memory for how to night wean and was wondering the best way to go about it.

I will be gone for two nights and am genuinely worried about my husband getting enough sleep during this time without me. Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Will I hate my life if I become an accountant?

Sorry the title is so bleak. I am feeling depressed and overwhelmed the amount of paths to go down. I have been so many things - an emt, an esthetician, retail worker, waitress, call center rep, sales agent.

I’m a stay at home mom who wanted to be a physical therapist but cannot because of how expensive loans are. I originally was going down an engineering path and did well, but struggled too. Than I was going to be a nurse but had an epiphany I would not like it. I feel so indecisive and need to pick something.

I keep coming back to accounting because it seems safe, I think I would be good at it, and overall work/life balance seems okay depending where I end up (even if I have to sacrifice for a few years). We also have been really struggling, and I want finanical freedom.

So full of emotion tonight

I just need to share with someone.

After nine years of being on the NMDP registry list, I finally got a call that I’m a perfect match for a 59 year old woman. She could be a mother. I don’t know, but I took one look at my son and daughter when I got the call and just started crying. Life is so precious to me now in a way that it never used to be.

I mean I always knew it was, but motherhood has transformed my very soul. I am moving forward with the donation process. It will definitely be an inconvenience with childcare and potentially rescheduling a surgery I need to have, but to me it is all worth it if there is the potential to save someone’s life.

My only real concern is breastfeeding. This is my last baby, and I’m worried that if my son cannot nurse on me for a whole week, he may just naturally wean 😭 It’s not like I am two months postpartum (he is almost 11 months), but I am still sad about that thought. With stem cell donation, you cannot breastfeed while you take the injections.

Still seems a small price to pay though for a whole life. Anyway, I am still shell shocked I got the call

What would you do?

I have my Bachelors in Exercise Science. I want to pursue accounting. I live in MA.

Really conflicted if I should go for an associates, bachelors, masters, or simply take enough classes to sit for the CPA exam if I ever wish too??

Not sure if I can push hernia back in??

I have had a small umbillical hernia since last July (after pregnancy) and I have poked it at random times and it has always easily gone back in.

I went to feel it yesterday but that sensation of easily pushing it in disappeared 😱 I think I am still feeling the fat moving around but it is so hard to tell. Would you go to urgent care or the hospital if it was you….

This is the worst possible timing for me to need emergency surgery. I have had no other symptoms other than some loose stool and there is no telling if it is related. Well and anxiety.

I attached a photo of what it looks like right now.

Open repair okay in this situation?

I finally saw the surgeon I wanted to for a consult and he suprised me by recommending an open repair!

I gather it’s from him thinking my umbillical hernia is small and may or may not need mesh. His immediate thought was I *will* need mesh but said once I am opened up, he might not have to place one.

The most favorable outcomes seem to come from robotic or laprascopic and he is known for those repairs - it’s just what I had mentally prepared for so it caught me off guard, especially since open repair recovery is usually more intense, and I am a stay at home mom to two young kids.

Mostly just feeling nervous about the “open” part. Does it make sense to go open? Should I demand robotic?

For more background, I am 10 months postpartum after my 2nd child and also have some diastasis recti that I am hoping will close with targeted exercise, but I am wondering if I should also consult plastic surgery??

Trying to decice if tummy tuck is right option for DR

Hi everyone! So I just met with a general surgeon who confirmed an umbillical hernia. He said there was potential for it to be small enough to not require mesh but wouldn’t know until he was in there. He did say I have Diastasis Recti (which I was also sure of), but did not state how wide the gap was.

When I try the test myself, it feels like a finger? He said the DR would never heal on its own and that he could tighten it, otherwise I need a tummy tuck. And my understanding is insurance will not cover most likely.

I plan on starting an exercise regimen for deep core exercises and breathing very soon and will once again bring it up to my pelvic floor therapist. She seems quite cookie cutter though and has not seemed to understand me when I asked for these exercises?? I just feel so limited im abdominal work due to the hernia and she is the only one around for miles who will accept my insurance unfortunately.

I am 10 months pp from second child, breastfeeding, and have about 15lb to lose before I am my previous weight, but would love to lose 20lb. Any thoughts or opinions? Should I consult a plastic surgeon anyway? Finances are not ideal, but I don’t think I would need lipo.

Important questions to ask before initial surgical consult? Umbillical Hernia.

found a local hernia specialist (who also is a General Surgeon Professor) within my network of insurance. He has fantastic reviews, and I most excited his past patients have said how empathetic he is and really takes his time with you.

Anyway, my consult is next Monday, and I have an underlying fear he will not recommend me for surgery or that my health insurance (Fallon Health) will say the reasons are not medically necessary.

I have an umbillical hernia that developed during my second pregnancy. I am almost 10 months postpartum and have never had a scan, so I don’t actually know how large it is, but I am positive it has gotten bigger.

Every few days it feels tender and has burned on occasion in the past. I babywear my child due to an unruly and wild toddler and just pressing the baby against my body is often uncomfortable and tender, but not always. The hernia is especially tender when I feel a bowel movement coming.

I am someone who really enjoys exercise and was planning on getting my cert to teach classes, but I feel so limited in what I can even do, especially abdominal wise. I just feel like I cannot live like this forever. I need to be able to move and exercise like I did before.

Lastly, I am not 100% certain we are done having kids, but most likely we are. Pregnancy is rough and kids are expensive.

Anyway, I was going to mention everything I said above. Any specific questions you asked before your procedure? I have attached a picture as well.

Help with this interesting through way??

This room is about 10 feet wide and 20 feet long. This photo was actually taken a year or so ago (we had just added vinyl after ripping out very old carpet). This room connects to a sunroom, which has a slider door and is the door we most often enter through. On the other side, it connects to a narrow hallway which leads to the upstairs, a playroom, and my husband’s office.

It is currently being used as a very messy storage space. We have two young kids which has made finding the time to research storage solutions and acting upon that difficult.

We are not in a super great financial position but I would LOVE any and all ideas for storage - from blankets to flashlights and board games. Right now, our bookshelves and mini fridge and extra kitchen items live down here, which I don’t know if I love. I am also just simply curious what others would do! Please help. I do not function well in constant mess. I don’t mean toys on the floor - I mean so much of our stuff that we own does not have a home. I have been decluttering as much as possible, but I know I need cabinets or cube storage or something. I also am very much into the idea of whimsical and cottagecore, or farmhouse style if that helps. We have also have a ton of whacky and interesting art.
