Gaten Matarazzo expressed his opinion about the two latest 3D Zelda games, and some comments are awful.

In the latest episode of "Shelf Quest" by Polygon, Gaten Matarazzo expressed his opinion about the two latest 3D Zelda games, BOTW and TOTK. For him, they're the ultimate experience of the Zelda franchise. Whether you agree or not, you need to respect his thoughts and feelings about it. But some Zelda hardcore fans aren't so happy with that, and that's what we're seeing in some comments.

It seems that when one celebrity talks about video games, there always will be guys to say the contrary. You can disagree with what the celebrity's saying, but please, with respect. I don't know if it's ragebaiting, or something else.

As a Zelda fan, I'm ashamed. In every community, there are good and stupid fans. For now, I'm ashamed of having these people in the fanbase I'm in.

Go watch the reel and let me see what you're thinking about it.

OOB of Dragon Roost Island, or as I call it, the "floating island" lol

Hi everyone! Welcome to a brand new post about the unseen aspects of The Wind Waker! Today it's Rito time! We're gonna explore how the island was made, and the subtle differences between maps.

First, I wanted to look at the area where you help Medli go to Dragon Roost Cavern. It's a secluded zone. Valoo is modeled, as well as, strangely, the jump part of 4F DR Cavern, and the outside part of 2F DR Cavern. Funny enough, the developers modeled the mini boss area with the stairs leading to it, and... a wooden pole weirdly BEHIND Valoo.

Then, back in the world map, we all know the developers made both 1F and 2F DR Cavern outside areas for the purpose of continuity and natural geography. Now, back to the top of the island, Valoo is now placed correctly like in the final floor of the first dungeon, which is still here somehow, with the wooden pole now missing.

To conclude my findings, it's an interesting island: I didn't want to look at the inside area because to be honest, it's not attractive.

I hope you'll like my little findings, and see you soon!

OOB of the final boss area

[Mini-game time! Go to the last picture and try to find Link!]

Hi guys! It's my first time here on the sub so I hope you'll like my discoveries! I was curious about how the game was designed during some parts of it, such as the Great Sea map, the invisible boundaries, as well as (maybe) hidden content.

So here it is, for you: what's around the final boss area? As you all know (and thanks to the Noclip website), the area depicts Gerudo Desert with an unused entrance for a cave. Around it are mountains and a blue sky ring around it, with on top cool waves. Around Ganon's Tower, it's only in-game you can see this triquetra (I think you've learned something hehe). Then, normally, on Noclip, there's a black void, meant to be observed by nobody except the developers when they were making the game back in the 2000s.

But what's fascinating is that in-game, it's in fact true BUT!... if Link exits the area thanks to Moon Jump and Superspeed (cheats available ONLY on Dolphin), a strange nightish sky area with a sun is created and apparently follows Link's tracked position. I don't really know why the developers made a new setting around Link, but it may represent this feeling of vastness and infinity they wanted from the very beginning, or maybe, as Aonuma said in Nintendo Dream issue #83 from 2003, "the reason for the size of the sea is that if we'd made it smaller, we wouldn't have had time to read the data of the island you're about to visit, we were bargaining for microseconds."

What's also funny is that Ganondorf's model is still present doing the jump animation (I didn't take a shot of it unfortunately...), and not Zelda's!

So to wrap it up, according to me, the game loads an area around Link because of data that must be rendered and read or because of culling.

I'll make more research about the game's design, so if you're interested, embark on an adventure with me!

EDIT: during the fight, if you go high up, the rain and blue fog effect will be gone, so you can admire the fight with the previous cutscene's ambience!

EDIT 2: I wasn't aware of that, but if you don't touch Ganondorf with your sword, and let Zelda shoot him multiple times, the second phase of the fight will begin lol

"Mario Kart World Sucks...If You're Stupid" by Dylonic

Hi! Just found out this video about Mario Kart World uploaded 6 days ago. As I write this post, I'm watching this video and for now, it's good! Go watch it!

EDIT: I just finished the video. I don't agree with some little things but it's a great video! He could have talked about more of some grifters or the stupid comparison between Sonic Racing Crossworlds and MKW. But apart from that: 9/10 video.

[GO HERE IF YOU DID THE 1.7 UPDATE] I just finished the new Knockout Tour rallies and I really like them. And you?

[IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE THESE RALLIES, PLAY THEM THEN GO BACK HERE. IT'S YOUR FINAL WARNING IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SPOILED!]

>!I 100%'d the game one more time by doing theses rallies in Mirror Mode 150cc with 3 Stars. The Drill Rally was pretty simple, yet fun to do (I always wanted a rally to finish at Bowser's Castle so I'm happy!). The Boomerang Rally, however, was a bit difficult the first time (it made me restart at both Cheep Cheep Falls and Mario Bros. Circuit because I was 2nd, dammit lol), yet also amusing to race on. I think the Drill Rally is my favourite new rally from the new update. I'm looking forward to see the bright future of this game!!<

So, what did you think of them? 9/10 for me.

The end of Unstable SMP is happening.

[THIS IS A THEORY]

Maybe someone in the shadows is planning something to put an end to the server as we know it... Like a reboot, a reset. Deep within the universe, he is hidden... The One Who Is Lost. The First. The Creator. The greatest and most terrifying being of all.

I hope this being has manipulated both us and our four protagonists into thinking everything will be resolved either with violence, death or with peace, life. This being will rise and remake the SMP at its image, which will be under his foot for eternity.

I wrote a prophecy after Parrot's last video of the Civil War. I hope you'll like it:

When Unstable meets its end,

The truth no soul can comprehend

Will crawl from shadows, cold and deep:

The four were never meant to lead.

The server, players, every view,

Were all controlled from start to through.

For since the day the world begun,

There never were four.

There was only one.

(I'm a writer btw, and I'd love them to see it and imagine this character)

Little texture bug lol

Next to Starview Peak and close to Boo Cinema, at the edge of the world, you can see this. Funny little texture bug but also the field is cut in the background.

Ask me anything about my experience with the game!

Hello guys! I wanted to try something different! Ask me anything about my experience with the game: my relation with it, how I try to improve my skills with shortcuts or driving, the soundtrack, my tips... Basically anything you want to ask!

EDIT: It's for both old and new, skilled and non-skilled players!

I can't wait for the haters or grifters to talk about the new Nintendo Direct

I genuinely think it was a pretty "ok+" Direct, maybe good (I like the >!OOT Remake announcement!<). Not excellent but still fun to watch. But I think the r/fucknintendo subreddit won't be as merciful or neutral as we need to be lol

We need to talk about the toxicity that's been surrounding the Switch 2 since day one (it's been a year)

Fair warning: if your only comeback to this is "cope", "shill", or "stop crying", then you're literally making my point for me! Carry on!

Some people had already made up their minds before the thing even launched

Not because of the price, or of the games... No no no: before any of that existed. Hating Nintendo is their whole thing, it's their brand, it's what they do. So every Direct, every trailer, every announcement, this is the SAME damn crowd, same takes, within 30 seconds flat

"Oh it's mid", "That's it?" For me, it's just pre-loaded, with copy-paste, and completely detached from whatever was actually shown, and that's not an opinion

The AI and the "oh it's not a Nintendo Direct anymore!!" accusations are just lazy

Smooth animation? "AI" Clean art direction? "AI shit" Lighting looks good in a trailer? "AI slop, do better". No receipts, no argument, just throw the word out there and walk away like you did something (>!in the new Direct of June 2026, Zelda OOT Remake was announced and some people are already trashing it because it looks like AI... Wow, they're just big babies!<) It's a conversation-ender disguised as criticism

But you know what the actual frustrating part is? It makes it genuinely harder to call out AI when it's being used badly, because the word has been watered down to mean "the thing I don't like the look of"

I'm also pissed at the people hating both the September and June Directs of 2025 and 2026, because for them "where are my MARIO? MY ZELDA?????? IT'S SO BAD, IT'S SO BORING.... >!WOW 10 MINUTES OF PLAYING THUMB WAR IN THE NEW NINTENDO SWITCH SPORTS RESORT GAME... SERIOUSLY..." (sorry for you, it was just maybe a minute or so in the June 2026 Direct, but since you're dumb, then get out)!< For them: "It's not a NINTENDO DIRECT ANYMORE. Just call it "Partner Showcase"..."

The "I'm miserable so you should be too" crowd

This is the one I genuinely don't get, because people going out of their way (into fan spaces, into reply sections, into comment threads) not just to make a point, not just to push back on something specific, but just to make sure whoever's excited feels dumb about it... I'm sorry, that's not discourse, that's not critique: that's just being a buzzkill on purpose and thinking it makes you look smart: "OH I'M SO MAD ABOUT NINTENDO. YOU! WHY DO YOU LOVE THIS GREEDY COMPANY??? THERE ARE NO BIG GAMES FOR THE SWITCH 2!!!" (and then, the fan is also mad, or has no fun because of them) (they're just big babies who need attention... am I right, Prestige??)

Don't like the Switch 2? Just say it. Think it's overpriced? Make the case! Think the lineup has been weak? Genuinely let's talk about it! But the second your goal stops being "share my take" and becomes "ruin someone else's good time": bro, what are you even doing??

To be clear : the Switch 2 has legitimate problems: the whole tariff situation was a mess, the post-launch calendar has been a little bit slow. Compatibility is still being patched over a year in. Those are real conversations and they're worth having!

But there's a massive gap between actual criticism and what a lot of the noise has been: one's useful, the other is just rage-farming dressed up as consumer advocacy

You paid for the console: enjoy it and don't let the timeline or haters ruin it for you. This was my hot take. Hope you'll understand.
