Setting up cold email for 500/day (7 domains, 21 inboxes): which inbox provider and sending tool do you use?

Hey everyone, first time setting up cold email at this scale and honestly kinda lost with all the options out there.

Goal is 500+ sends a day. Plan is 7 domains, 3 inboxes per domain, so 21 inboxes total. Most of the people we're emailing are on Gmail.

  1. What inbox provider do you use, and why that one over the others? Which ones are actually legit (real Google/Microsoft accounts that won't get nuked) and which is the most affordable? Been looking at ColdInfra, Inboxlogy, Zapmail and just buying Google Workspace direct, but every comparison I find is written by one of the providers lol

  2. What sending tool do you use, and which one works best with that inbox provider?

  3. How many emails per inbox per day do you actually send, and does warm-up count toward that?

  4. Anyone had their inboxes suspended? Which provider was it?

On a tight budget so real numbers help a ton. Thanks in advance!

PEs and PMs: how do you actually verify a 50-page submittal against the spec book?

I keep watching submittal review eat whole days. Someone cross-referencing a 2,100-page spec book against 50-page vendor PDFs, page by page, hoping the door hardware finish and the fire ratings line up. Two monitors, CTRL+F, no summary, no tabs.

So I built something: upload the spec and the submittal, get back a one-page compliance table where every row links to the page it came from. Real output here: https://submittalreviewer.vercel.app Nothing you upload is stored or used for training.

To be clear about what it isn't: it doesn't do your review. It kills the page-hunting, so the review takes minutes instead of a day. Every finding is still yours to make.

I'm looking for the first five reviewers to run a real submittal through it before launch, first 10 reviews free. What would make you trust an automated first pass, and what would make you refuse it?

Anyone else struggling to understand accented professors in big lecture halls?

I'm an international student, and my notes are only as good as what I can hear, which in some lecture halls isn't much: professor far from the phone's microphone, room noise, accent on top. Half-finished notes, then an evening spent patching the gaps.

I'm validating an idea before building it further: an app that separates voices, brings the professor's voice out of noisy and talk-over environments, is built to handle all accents, and turns lectures into study notes you'd actually reread.

Questions:

  1. What do you do today: recorder, front row, or just survive?
  2. Do your classes provide notes before exams, or are you on your own?
  3. Does your school even allow recording?

All feedback welcome. (I have a demo if anyone genuinely wants to see it, just ask.)

Which UTD lecture halls make you work hardest just to hear the professor?

Hey, I'm Logan, an international student and incoming MSCS at UTD this fall. I'm nervous about the coursework, sure, but honestly the thing I'm most worried about is the room.

I keep reading UTD threads about professors who are impossible to understand, and I know exactly what that sounds like: a lecturer 15 feet from the mic, chairs and people and doors, and an accent on top of all of it. I tested the apps everyone recommends on real lecture audio recorded that way. They fell apart.

So I'm validating a pain point before building anything: is this just me, or do other students here live it too?

What we're building:

  • It locks onto the professor's voice and follows it through the room noise, the cocktail-party problem every note app skips
  • Accent coverage that's measured, not claimed: the current benchmark covers 6 common accents at 3 noise levels, scored against human-transcribed ground truth, failures published, with more accents planned as demand grows
  • Live captions while the lecture runs
  • After class: every voice separated per speaker, plus clean organized notes, not a raw transcript dump

If you've had a class where you understood maybe half of what was said, tell me about it. Demo and all the numbers here: https://verbat.vercel.app/?src=utdallas

All feedback and ideas welcome. If this sounds like something you'd use, join the waitlist and help shape it.

A local AI that floats over any Mac app, even fullscreen, and already has your highlighted text

Double-tap Control and Thuki is floating over whatever you're working in, even a fullscreen app, already holding the text you just highlighted. Ask, read the answer, hit esc, and it's gone. You never leave the app you were in.

The thing that always bugged me: an assistant that lives in its own window isn't really assisting. It's one more app to tab into, one more paste, one more context switch. I wanted the opposite, something that meets you where you already are, does the small thing, and gets out of the way.

That's the whole reason Thuki exists (thư ký, Vietnamese for secretary, which is exactly the job I wanted it to do).

Most local-AI apps (LM Studio, Jan, even the ChatGPT app) are places you go to. Thuki comes to you instead. Same open models underneath; it's the workflow around them that's different.

Thuki runs inference on your own Mac with any open-source LLMs from Hugging Face, so there's no account, no API keys, no per-query cost, and the app sends nothing home.

It's free and open source, and honestly still early, built by one person with the rough edges that implies.

I'm sharing it because I want to shape it around how people actually use it, not how I picture them using it. So if you give it a shot: where does it fit your day, where does it get in the way, and what would make it something you'd keep open? I read every reply.

Repo and install are in the first comment.

What happened to /remote-control?

I can't find that command in claude code in my terminal, and when use claude code desktop app, I got told "/remote-control isn't available in this environment."

I'm on Max 5x. What am I missing?

**** Updated - FIXED

It turns out my settings.json file had CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_NONESSENTIAL_TRAFFIC enabled. Unsetting it fixed the whole thing. I'm not even sure why I had it turned on, but if you're running into the same issue, this might be the cause.

Question: how to write cutting-edge system prompts?

Hello, I'm working on a side project that interacts with Ollama and uses this system prompt: https://github.com/quiet-node/thuki/blob/main/src-tauri/prompts/system_prompt.txt . While it works adequately with Gemma4:e4b, it doesn't compare well to professional tools like Claude Code or ChatGPT. I know a 4b local model can't compete with the giants, but I still believe a good system prompt can significantly improve the behavior and overall experience.

Are there any resources available to learn about system prompts and industry standards for it or anything like that, or perhaps some excellent examples from open-source projects that I could learn from?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone, I shared Thuki in this subreddit a couple of weeks ago, and I’m back with version 0.7.0. This update brings more meaningful improvements compared to the last release.

Here are some highlights:

  • In-app model picker: You can now switch between any installed Ollama models, loaded directly from your local instance. Changing models mid-conversation keeps the flow and context intact.
  • Pre-warm models: When Thuki is summoned, it sends a warm-up message to the active local model so your next response comes back instantly.
  • Larger default context window: Ollama defaults to a 4k context window. This version increases it to 16k, and you can fully adjust it in the app. This helps the model respond more accurately with better context.
  • Settings panel: Easily configure the Ollama URL, adjust the context window with a log scale slider, and modify Thuki’s system prompt without editing code or rebuilding.
  • /search for agentic web search: Thuki can now search the web for up-to-date information using a self-hosted SearXNG and Trafilatura pipeline. It includes a real-time trace stream, and everything runs locally with no API key or cloud required.
  • /think command: Add /think before your query to see the reasoning process before the final answer.
  • More slash commands: Includes /tldr, /todos, /translate, and /rewrite.

Fully local and open source.

Apache 2.0 licensed, macOS only, built with Tauri, Rust, and React.
