Hit 53.0 mpg today

2010, eco mode, three hours on the motorway. Didn’t get lower than 50mpg the whole way. Apologies I don’t have a pic - I was doing 70mph. Good little car :)

Irresponsible dog ownership

My roommate, who is a bum, has decided she wants a puppy, despite not being in a good position to do so and having no experience or interest in learning about responsible ownership. I am a professional dog trainer and am mortified at the idea of living with a dog being less than well cared for. Unfortunately in our situation she is well within her right to get a dog and there’s nothing I can realistically do to stop her. Sigh. Time to look for a new place.

We were looking for something short and simple, fell in love when my hubby first pitched it. Everyone thinks that being named Yuck sounds terrible for a baby boy... but, he won't be a baby forever. And we think it's super cute.

Husbands mother has even started sending pictures of writing out the full name in calligraphy style writing, of all the names she likes more AND Yuck and is pointing out "how it just doesn't flow/work on paper. See how well these other names work? They're beautiful"

I just don't feel the same. I need some objective opinions. If it matters, we're in the US. I thought Yuck was a little unique without being too out there. Husband thinks we should move forward with the name, but I'm having second thoughts from everything my MIL is putting in my head. Thoughts?
