🚴‍♂️ Pune to Pandharpur: 220+ km of Grit, Sweat, and Devotion! 🙏

Last Saturday, I had the privilege of participating in the 10th edition of the annual Pune to Pandharpur cycle ride, organized brilliantly by the IAS community.

The journey kicked off with an amazing flag-off from the holy Dehu Temple. While the energy was high, the elements definitely tested us! Pushing through the blazing hot sun, soaring temperatures, and the demanding elevations of the national highway was a massive mental and physical challenge.

By the time we hit the 100 km mark around 8:30am, the real test began. The final 40 km were brutal, navigating a rough, uneven single lane. The constant road vibrations, paired with mounting fatigue, forced us to take multiple extra breaks just to keep moving.

But the moment we finally rolled into the devotional town of Pandharpur, all the pain, exhaustion, and saddle soreness vanished in a single second. The energy here is unmatched!

An absolutely amazing journey with an incredible group of people. Heartfelt thanks to the organizers for the flawless on-route support. Looking forward to the next one! 🌟

Off season to take the Darshan?

Hello everyone,

We are planning a family trip to Tirupati this year from Maharashtra, along with a small child.

Could experienced devotees please suggest the best time to visit during the off-season when the crowd is comparatively less and the waiting time for the free Darshan of Lord Balaji is minimal?

I remember seeing posts that during the Chennai Assembly elections, the crowd at Tirumala was unusually low. I’m looking for a similar opportunity if possible.

We are flexible with our travel dates and would appreciate suggestions on:
• Best months for less crowd
• Weekdays vs weekends
• Any periods to avoid due to festivals, holidays, or rush

Our main goal is to have a peaceful Darshan with minimum waiting time, especially considering we will be travelling with a young child.

Thank you in advance for your guidance. 🙏
Govinda Govinda!
