I have a light colored vintage Biltmore 5X. There are a few small stains that I can’t seem to get out. They all look like the same. I have tried to apply a small amount of Dawn and bit of distilled water using a white microfiber cloth and then dabbing it again with with the cloth and distilled water to try and lift it out. No luck. I tried 90% isopropyl alcohol…nothing. I tried 400 grit sandpaper in small circles…nope.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I don’t want to continue trying and making the issue worse. Thanks in advance!

It isn’t much, but it’s better than pulling out dirty fingers.

I found this at a yard sale in SW Florida this morning. Owner said it was too small for him. What model of Stetson is this hat? I don’t feel it is my “style” but it is my size. Any help is appreciated. BTW…paid $25 for it.
