Government or Private with Foreign Language Skills

I can currently speak French, Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish to varying degrees. I was wondering what kind of jobs will my talents be maximized? I saw becoming a diplomat and travelling the world was pretty cool and I am considering getting into the government. But at the same time, I've heard private companies (no idea what kind and where to find them), pay really high for foreign language speakers. Then there's the option of becoming a teacher/professor.

Not sure which field is the most in demand, competitive, or best in terms of long term career stability.

What's It Like Getting a Scholarship That Has a Language Requirement?

Hello! I can speak French, Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish but hovering in A2 and B1 but I don't have any certificates. I just study and talk to people for fun. I've seen scholarships with and without language proficiency requirements. Like, what's the difference in the experience or the opportunities that they give? I'm genuinely curious because I don't have a certificate and may start considering getting a couple if they are worth it. Thanks!

I work in government. There are two promotions in two different divisions, Finance and Audit. I want to get into Finance. Currently, I am in the audit section and want to apply to another vacancy that has the same rank and pay. Are my chances lower than those who have a lower position or SG than me who will be also applying? Or is it equal?

My logic is that our department will see my move to another position of the same rank as a loss and would much rather have lower ranking individuals obtain that position.
