Do you need a bass player?

I'm looking for a band that needs a solid, dependable bass player. That band being filled with great people and potential friends would be a plus but not a requirement.

I can sing backup vocals as well.

Influences: Robert deLeo, Mike Watt, Justin Chancellor, James Jamerson, among others.

I have gear, transportation.

Not interested in drama of any kind.

Favorite bands: too many to name. I like fast punk, slow pop. I like psychedelic rock, I like smooth R&B.

What I do like is to get sweaty and have a good time. You?

Bassist seeking band

Hey, I'm looking for some fun, tight songs to play bass too. I am in my late 30s. Been playing for 20 years.

I love fast punk stuff like Lagwagon or Pears. I like heavier stuff like Mastodon, Kylesa. I like spacier stuff like Cave In or Oranssi Pazuzu. I love droney loops like Stereolab. I can play with a pick, I can play with my fingers.

Looking for some nice people to play with. If you have demos, you can send me your music and I can record something and send it back.

This past weekend, it was beautiful, so me and 100 other people went to the disc golf course. Pretty normal fare, groups of 2-4 teeing off consistently for the 30 minutes I waited at hole 1.

About five holes in, I see a guy teeing off at hole one. Single player. Three dogs, off leash. He is playing like he is getting chased.

By the time we get to hole 10, the guy is standing next to the teebox, dogs running all over the place. He stares at us. We let him through. The group in front of us (which is struggling because they have groups of 2 & 4 head of them) let the guy through. This causes a ripple effect bottleneck.

A pair of holes later, another dude does the same thing except he doesn't even wait for a group to clear the hole, he throws over their head. When walking up to the hole, music blaring, drinking a beer, the guy he missed goes up to him and has a conversation. No blows, but close.

What the f? Is this normal?

Edit: it turns out the rushing dog man is on the board of the local disc golf group.

I have been banned, because of user /u/footreal8790 reporting me for threatening violence, so I will edit some answers in.

It was Portland, Oregon at Timber.

I didn't bring 100 people, 100 people showed up around the same time.

Edit 2: There was a tournament at Milo outside portland so all the casual players went to Timber (nearby) all at once. :)

Edit 3: I agree with everyone. Fist fighting is dumb on a DG course. Telling someone that threw at you that they fucked up is necessary. I did that. The guy bellied up to me and I stood my ground. He was not so rude after that.

Final edit: Any questions, DM me. This thread blew up and I am banned from answering
