My boss said I was faking needing a shaving waiver

Sorry if this grosses anyone out, it’s even making me cringe. Definitely renewing my waiver and hoping for the best in the next few years. Anyone else tried every tip and trick and still get messed up by shaving? I know there’s laser hair removal but I don’t want any permanent effects after I retire. Kinda annoyed the dirt bags who didn’t actually need waivers abused the system. A beard is a lot more professional looking than this.

Will ADHD affect my MH rating?

Diagnosed in service with ADHD. I’ve heard horror stories of people going to their C&P exams and once the rater sees an ADHD diagnosis they will blame everything on that and slap you with a 0% rating. I have severe anxiety, depression, and PTSD from verifiable events. Should I be concerned?

10 year marriage pension rule

A lot of people think if you get divorced under 10 years the spouse won’t get any of your pension. This is false. The 10 years rule let’s DFAS pay the spouse automatically without you ever seeing the money. A court can still award an ex spouse a percentage of your retirement based on the time married. Someone I know got a divorce before they hit 10 years to save their retirement and found out they still have to pay a portion if they make it to retirement. He’s getting out at the 18 years mark out of spite. Just a PSA for military members. Has anyone seen this happen to someone they know?

My advice to you

Medical evidence trumps everything. If you’re still serving go to the doctor. Don’t wait! Long term care helps establish static ratings. Keep medications current, they can be tracked in MHS so you know when a refill is due. BDD claims are automatically service connected and by far the easiest. Use chat GPT to draft blank logs to fill out for migraines, urine frequency, and other things. Have your significant other write statements on what they see, same with your coworkers. Take notes to your C&P exam so you leave out no information. Study the DBQ prior to exams. Take notes throughout the day on triggers and summarize everything into bullet points you can talk about. Have verifiable evidence such as reports, news articles, and photos if possible. Stop ignoring pain, even if it’s minuscule get seen for it. As we age things get worse. I’m seeing a lot of people falling into the “I never went to medical” trap. Go to MH if you’re struggling. They won’t separate you if you’re showing improvement. You can also rebook with MH down the line if you’re concerned. This is what I’ve learned so far. After about 2 years from starting from nothing you’ll be able to build a good base of documentation. Hope this helps someone.

Troops hygiene is horrendous

Has anyone dealt with a troop who’s hygiene effects the whole work area? Even after paperwork, self direction, and hygiene education they still stink.

So I’m either stupid or smart with this purchase

I know there’s going to be a restock on these so I wasn’t sure if I should wait to buy these at a lower price after the drop. After finding out the drop will be online only I assume everything will be bought by bots. I think right now might’ve been the best time to buy since people are anticipating a big crash. Regardless you can’t lose holding long term. I purchased cases not loose boxes. I could be completely wrong but I took the risk. I’d like to hear your thoughts on this.
