Need Help Choosing the Right TOEFL Course

I’m looking for a paid course and have narrowed it down to two options:

- Magoosh
- PrepEx

I’m having a hard time deciding between them, so if anyone has experience with either one, I’d really appreciate hearing about their strengths and weaknesses.

I am lost..

I’m currently choosing between two paths:

Option 1: Attending a local university
Option 2: Studying abroad in the United States

Here’s how I see each option:

Option 1: Local University

Pros:
- I’d receive a monthly stipend of $270.
- Living at home means all my basic needs are covered, so my money would be mine to spend on extras and personal wants
- The university is decent, even if it’s not my ideal choice.

Cons:
- I’d be tied to frequent family gatherings, which drain me.
- I’d miss out on the experience of living in a completely new environment.
- My independence would be limited I wouldn’t fully control my lifestyle or decisions.

Option 2: Study Abroad (U.S.)

Pros:
- This has always been my goal.
- I’d experience a new culture and a completely different way of living.
- I’d grow up fast becoming more independent, confident, and self-aware.

Cons:
- The process is demanding, and I’d have to work really hard and wait months with no guarantee of acceptance.
-Financial pressure would be real and constant.
- I’d be on my own managing everything from academics to daily life without a safety net.

I’d really appreciate hearing your perspective on this, especially if you’ve faced a similar decision or have insights that could help me think through the long-term impact of each path.

Learning coding on an iPad (Python basics), realistic or not?

Hey everyone,

I’m thinking about starting to learn coding, mainly just the basics. I’m interested in things like Python and understanding how programming works. I might build small projects here and there.

The issue is that I only have an iPad right now, not a laptop.

So I’m wondering if it’s practical to learn coding on an iPad. Can I get a solid foundation using apps or online tools? Or will it be too limiting even for a beginner?

I’m not trying to become a full developer, at least not right now. I just want to learn and experiment a bit.

Would you recommend starting this way, or should I wait until I get a laptop?

App suggestions or personal experiences would help a lot.

Should I Financially Support My Father’s Second Marriage?

First, I want to say that English is not my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.

I am a university student, and I have about 70,000 USD, with part of it invested in shares. My father knows about this.

The important issue is that my father, who is around 52 years old, divorced my mother. After some time, he told me that he plans to marry another woman. He has also asked me to give him money from time to time because he says he is unable to work.

However, I am currently saving for my future after university, and I am not ready to financially support his second marriage or spend money on someone who is essentially a stranger to me.

What do you think? Should I apologize to him and refuse, or handle it differently?
