iPadOS 27 shows that 26 was really a mess.

As some people clamored about iPadOS 27 showing improved performance and "revitalized" their iPad, I had to try it myself and this is my first public beta ever.

About damn time my iPad Pro M2 finally felt zippy and responsive compared to iPadOS 26. Safari feels snappier (literally). Everything else felt ever so slightly more responsive and I don't think it's a placebo in my case. I can see the difference in how my iPad responds to app switching and its way better than before.

This is a step in the right direction and I hope Apple maintains this until full release in the next few months.

There's no point of Helix at this rate. Current gen consoles will need to last another few years.

What even is this timeline? Old hardware getting expensive and console gaming slowly becoming inaccessible due to these prices are not great signs of what's to come.

And E-Day being console exclusive? They need to make that game multiplat ASAP! There's no other way...

Sightseeing #2

All of these shots have their own specific camera settings. Min/maxed the heck out of game's photo mode so these 4 shots actually took me a while to get it the way I want without resorting to Lightroom (though it would make it easier and faster to what I want the picture to look like).

Captured on Series X, no edits other than compression.

Tips on how to achieve this (I use a calibrated HDR display so your mileage may vary):

* If the scenery/lighting is during the day: Generally higher exposure (around >60) with lower brightness (generally 40-50 range) and adjust contrast as needed.

* If the scenery is kinda dim and you want to achieve a darker scene: Generally lower exposure (30-50) with higher brightness (about 5 values higher or more than your current exposure) and adjust contrast as needed.

* Adjust temperature to your liking depending on the overall color of your shot (cooler colors = cooler temp; warmer colors = warmer temp). This is not always the case depending on what you want to achieve.

* Adjust color as you see fit, I like a hint of saturation with some sepia which are in these shots.

These are my settings! Everybody has their own personal settings as there is no perfect settings for all conditions that the game presents due to various weather, location, lighting conditions and their own personal artistic style of what they want their pictures to look like. Again, I generally resort to Lightroom lol.

Sightseeing [Forza Horizon 6]

Sightseeing the world of FH6. No edits but compressed to maintain most of the details during upload.

This is Forza Horizon 6

Playground Games knows how to make a very good looking game.

These a raw captures from Series X. No sneaky editing other than rotating the image 90 degrees from landscape and compressing it so Reddit doesn't crush too much of the details.

No doubt Fable will look absolutely gorgeous when it eventually comes out. I will bet it will be one of, if not, the best looking game for this console generation imo.

There is a photography simulator in my racing game [Forza Horizon 6]

Captured on Xbox Series X. Unedited but compressed since reddit can't handle the full image justice.

Full uncompressed 4K images

Though imgur might somewhat compress them but not as bad.

Mount Fuji [Forza Horizon 6]

Unedited 4K, but compressed because reddit compresses images to a crisp if I upload the original 12 mb image.
