Daily reminder: Kitae would've legitimately found out his limits if he had fought UI PB Daniel the same way he fought UI OG Daniel.

Kitae wouldn't be able to find out his limits if he used the Paradox of Perfection from the very beginning of their fight.

But as we know that Kitae will be arrogant and will try to find PB Daniel's limits only to realize that he found out his own limits.

Hot take: James and Goo are the most underrated top tiers rn.

Even after James's recent feat against Tom Lee, where he seemingly mid diffed him, I still see people treating it like some completely ordinary feat. 🥀

Some people are arguing that Tom would've won if he was in his prime or had his dominant hand, acting as if Tom himself didn't admit his inferiority against Path users. There's also the argument that Tom missing James's arota was plot. I mean, sure, you can call it plot, but at the end of the day, it's fiction. Plot is obviously going to play a role in how certain situations unfold.

I've also seen some fans argue that their favorite character would've mid-diffed James during their fight and that PTJ had to interrupt it with another "plot armor" moment. 🥀Some people are conveniently ignoring the narrative portrayal of James and Kitae being relative to each other.

As for Goo Kim, I've noticed a similar level of downplay. Some people genuinely seem to believe that even a hypothetical Goo with 50 Moonlight Sword Techniques and the Path would still be their favorite character's base version victim. At some point, the agenda starts getting a little too creative.

Everything is shits and giggles until Goo shows the Path narrative.

Even if we put Goo aside for now since he hasn't shown the Path narrative yet, James is still very much in the conversation. The amount of downplay he's receiving lately feels a little forced imo.

No hate to anyone btw.

Who would’ve won here if the fight had actually continued?

Answer honestly and put your bias aside for a moment.

Gun was genuinely the first person to break the power scaling of the verse, btw.

Before anyone calls this is Blind Gun glazing, I’m not trying to argue that Gun is currently the strongest character in the verse.

My point is simply that Gun’s HFG gauntlet was one of the moments that significantly changed the way people viewed the powerscaling. The number of opponents he went through consecutively was something we hadn’t really seen before, and it raised the standard for what a top tier could accomplish.

Since then, the scaling has obviously progressed. Characters like Kitae and the current Pre-Gen characters have introduced feats and portrayals that have surpass Gun’s previous showings. So I’m completely fine with saying that parts of Gun’s HFG performance have been powercrept.

However, powercreep doesn’t automatically make those feats unimpressive or make Gun irrelevant. His HFG performance can be surpassed while still being one of the most significant displays in the series.

Basically, I’m not saying “Gun is still above everyone because I like him.” I’m saying that we can acknowledge the newer scaling while also giving Gun credit for how much his HFG gauntlet contributed to raising the ceiling of the verse.

The powerscaling evolved. That doesn't mean the older feats suddenly stopped being impressive.

James is the rival of a guy with two insane bloodlines, btw.

I know James has lost the narrative of being the final villain lately, but him rivaling a guy with both Gapryong and Yamazaki bloodlines using nothing but his talent and sheer determination is still insane. Have some respect for the name ‘Legend of the 1st Generation’—James Lee.
