Hey everyone,
I've been keeping an eye on my CPU temperatures lately and I'm wondering if they're normal or if I should consider upgrading my cooler.
My system has an Intel i5-14600KF with a DeepCool AG400. My airflow setup is:
While playing CS2, my CPU usually averages around 70-75°C, but I've seen peaks of 85-90°C during gameplay. The average temperature doesn't seem too bad, but the spikes have me a bit concerned.
I'm considering replacing the AG400 with an Arctic Freezer 36. Has anyone made a similar upgrade, and if so, how much of a temperature improvement did you see on a 14600KF?
Also, if I decide to swap coolers, what's the best way to remove the old thermal paste if I don't have isopropyl alcohol available? Are there any safe alternatives that won't damage the CPU or cooler?
Thanks for any advice!
Hey guys,
I've recently started monitoring my CPU temperatures and noticed that they can peak quite high, usually around 85–90°C.
On average, my temperatures stay around 70°C because I use a 300 FPS cap in CS2, which prevents the CPU from being fully utilized all the time.
My current cooling setup is:
Since I mainly play esports titles such as Valorant, CS2, and Apex Legends, I'm wondering if upgrading my CPU cooler to something like the Thermalright Phantom Assassin 120 SE or the ID-Cooling FROZN A620 Pro would be worth it.
Would I see a meaningful improvement in temperatures, or are my current temps normal for this setup?
Thanks in advance!
Hey guys,
I've recently noticed that my CPU temperatures seem quite high while gaming. In games like CS2 and Apex Legends, I've recorded peak temperatures of around 85–90°C using HWMonitor.
My current setup is:
Are these temperatures acceptable for this CPU and cooler, or would it be worth upgrading to a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hey guys! i've just recived my new monitor which is an aw2525hm. The physical OSD cant pull downwards. Can it get so bad that the menu constantly pops up? Also should i return it?
Hey guys, I've been thinking about buying a new monitor for CS2, Valorant, and Apex Legends.
I'm currently using a cheap 240 Hz VA panel, and I'm noticing a lot of ghosting and motion blur.
My budget is around $465 USD. I've been debating whether to get the AW2525HM or the XL2540X+.
If you guys have any input, please let me know!
Hey guys!
I've been hearing this noise coming from my PC for a while now. Under load (like in CS2 or Apex Legends), it makes a high-pitched, almost electrical screaming sound. When it's idle or I'm just watching YouTube, it makes a "tz tz tz" noise in waves.
I've already checked all the fans, and none of them seem to be causing it. Could this be coil whine?
The sound seems to be coming from either the GPU or the motherboard, but I'm not 100% sure.
Any ideas?
