EZ Flash/Pokemon Cart Experts Unite

Hi friends, I've been lurking the sub for a week now learning from some wise folks. I would like some help understanding the following two carts.EZ Flash Air & JR

My aim is to play Gen 1 through Gen 3 Pokemon exclusively. I'm not interested in a DS or newer gens. I'll be playing these on a GBA SP. I would like to eventually trade Pokemon within my different games. So, I would need two carts and two consoles. In the beginning, I will acquire a SP and play Gen 1. I understand I would need a JR to play Gen 1 on my SP. Now, I don't understand why I can play, not emulate, Gen 1/2 on an Air cart on my SP? Someone was telling me about a physical switch being hit when using the two diff types of carts for GB/GC games VS GBA games. I'm not wrapping my head around this properly and I would like some help clarifying the logic behind all of this. I would like to natively play all 3 gens, not emulate (if possible), I would eventually need 2 carts to trade between my games (trading between all 3 gens), and eventually need another console to facilitate the trades. Please Ask any clarifying questions if needed. Any help would be appreciated.

GBA SP/Pokemon

Hi friends.

I tried searching online for some answers but my brain doesn't work well like that. So, I thought I'd ask the experts.

I would like to play Gen 1 through Gen 3. I'm reading that I can get an external memory (micro SD) cart and load it with prev said ROMs for play on an OG GBA SP. I understand that this micro sd goes into the cart.

Now, when it comes to trading Pokémon between ROMs, is this possible to do with only 1 GBA, 1 cart, and a computer?

Since we're venturing into ROMs and files, I'd assume I'd be able to drag and drop a certain pokemon onto the save file of another ROM (Red to blue lets say) and that would count as a trade. Yet, the other side of my brain doesn't think these systems/files work like that.

I'm assuming I'd need another Cart/GBA to perform the trade for it to actually trade over like a normal function. Or is there some type of computer program I can link my running SP/cart with to "emulate" an active GBA running the target incoming/outgoing ROM for the trade? Idk the actual process obvs.

Can anyone shed some light on the actual proven trade process please?

The answer to this question will then prompt, what's the best cart for me to host all 3 gens? I understand if I'm aiming for a micro sd style cart memory won't be the limiting factor but instead if I want a cart with better internals? And if a 2nd cart is needed to facilitate trades, what's a "cheaper" same make cart to acquire since it'll just be a trade/backup cart (this cart "should be" a micro sd style cart as well right)?

Thanks in advance my expert friends.

What can a PSP/PSV Emulate Hardware wise?

I'll bet getting into emulation/torrents/roms soon and I'm curious what non PSP titles can the hardware handle. Or, can it even run Playstation/Xbox titles since it doesn't have L/R bumpers.

The base question is can the hardware run PS2/Xbox titles and the 2nd question is if so, how can it be played with L/R bumper inputs.

Thanks in advance friends.

Banned from groups

I came back to reddit since I realized IG was a cesspool. Just wanting community for me. It wasn't mentally stimulating. Reddit, being more text based and honest, was a better avenue for me to get my community needs. Since I've been back, I've been banned from 3 different groups 🤣 I honestly don't feel bad nor regret anything I said. I personally don't feel like I said anything demeaning, rude, or malicious but apparently what was said was enough to get me banned with no previous infractions in said groups. I laugh about as I've always said what I felt like was the difficult things. I don't feed into what someone "wants to hear" but I just give my honest perspective and I genuinely am trying to help them see another POV/help their current POV with whatever I can. The fact that I took the time to read and try to add genuine help.

Anyone else in this group get interactions like that throughout their entire lives?

Neurodivergent Veterans

Neurodivergent veterans and those that never felt they belonged.

First off....welcome.

When you joined, did you realize your line of thinking was different from the "norm"?

Did you excel in your job while serving?

Or maybe you didn't. Maybe you were placed in the wrong job. Did you only excel in things that really intrigued you?

Did you not enjoy being apart of the crowd?

The drinking, the cheating, the bad habits that lead to self sabotage and destruction?

Did you feel unappreciated for your hard work?

Were you overlooked by your peers and superiors because you didn't go with the crowd? The gossiping, the bars, the constant grind of "you signed up for this"?

Did you come to a realization the machine churns with or without you?

Did you think what if I had better guidance before joining? Where could of life taken me if my gifts were properly channeled? Did you never find a mentor in or out of the service because no one really understood, saw, or cared for you as a young, gifted, and impressionable person?

When you left the service, did the same feelings persist? Did you realize status, money, and these wordly pleasures felt empty?

Did you encounter rejection after rejection not only from society, but even from peers you served with? Do you still feel "lost" or "alone" to this day as you wander a world mostly caught up in the chase for money, status, and pleasures? Did you finally realize that you are different, gifted, and that none of this is your "fault"? Did you realize that isolation and lonliness are refinement and necessary for true growth? Did you realize that even we need community within ourselves? Did you realize that you're a neurodivergent? Did you realize that even being neurodivergent you can be friends and love non ND people as well?

If this sounds like you...Hi. I see you. I am you. We exist. We're not better than anyone. We're just different. We have different needs. We have different minds. And that's okay. What's not okay is carrying this by yourself without community, love, or guidance. The world will always have society that chases worldy pleasures. That's okay. I'm sure we did the same at some point. It isn't wrong. It's just different. Eventually, the mask needs to come off. We need to be in an environment that allows us to thrive, flourish, and really shine.

While in, they loved how hard I worked. They loved my problem solving. They loved my ability to lead others while putting my needs to the side. They loved my attention to detail and ability to think...as long as it fit their mission needs. The moment you oppose the current, they drown you. They throw you away like a used rag. That's okay. It wasn't meant for us forever. It was meant for us to experience, grow, and realize who we are. I'm not here to bash the mil indus complex, capitalism, or western productivity philosophy. I'm here to let you know you're not alone. We haven't been able to find a proper place for us. Do we create our own society? One where we rely on eachother. A community where each gets to only do what we truly love and enjoy. Not being a jack of all trades, not being independent with no need for community. A society that allows you to focus soley on your craft which you use to contribute genuinely to others. Where we trade our skills with one another so that we may all love and thrive through creativity, love, and not having to wear a mask.

We exist. We always have since the dawn of man. Aren't you tired? Aren't you hungry and thirsty for something that major society has never been able to do? We don't care about control, money, or status. Our spirit is starved for freedom and love. We're starved for others that are loyal to the cause. Many of us veterans miss the brotherhood. Knowing that someone will drag you off the x when you're hit. Knowing that someone will up "it" on anyone/anything that threatens our peers.

If this is you, drop a line below. Let's be friends. There are too many of us that are skilled and deprived from task/purpose. Too many veterans delete themselves because they don't have support, help, love, and community. You can have all the money in the world but when you don't have purpose and community, nothing matters. Come home my friends, we're all waiting to connect. It doesn't matter your color, creed, or background, we must build the future we want to contribute to. I love yall and I look forward to making new lasting relationships with "a few good men" (women are included in this please don't be offended). 🫡💙
