What are these bright spots on his shell?

This is truffles. I got him when he was 6 months (so the seller said). He’s coming in 3 years old now and recently started developing these bright spots at the growth points of his shell. Does it have something to do with the husbandry? Is it a problem I need to fix?

Who could this little friend be?

At first I thought might be a drone becuase the gaster is so small. But I’ve been told drones tend to have small heads and big eyes. Could she be a queen? If yes, would I be right to assume she’s semi claustral becuase of the small gaster?

Colony gathering at reservoir cotton

Newbie here! Is this a problem? I’ve noticed in recent days the colony has been moving closer and closer to the reservoir cotton. No mold that I can see. Water looks clean. But it is strange that after over two months, the water in the reservoir hasn’t reduced. There has also been two worker deaths which I thought was strange for such a new colony. There have been no significantly stressful events for this colony. What’s happening? Could the cotton be packed too tightly?

So cool but what do I do?

It’s my first time seeing a queen produce drones. What do you do with queens like this? Feed? Release? She’ll only ever produce drones right?

Normal behavior for a queen?

I placed in a flying termite for a colobopsis queen and the second she found it she kind of freaked out. Is that normal? 😧

I’m so worried I’ve stressed her out too much and she’s going to eat her brood.

EDIT: Now she’s taken it and shoved it right up against the entrance cotton.

Freeze dried BSFL okay for founding queens and colonies?

I give my tortoise and isopods freeze dried black soldier fly larvae as a snack and protein supplementation. Is it okay to also use for my colobopsis queen and later colonies?

She’s a warrior. Can anyone ID?

My sweet mom meant to catch ant queens for me but accidentally pit this queen with 3 wasps 😂 I love my mom so much. I only got to her the next day though. The 3 wasps were dead and this lady was barely alive. After a little honey, she perked up and I managed to get her into the test tube. What species might she be? Colobopsis possibly? Queen trying to excavate! Should I be worried?

This is her first day in the test tube. Is this normal? My crematogaster queens are also doing this lol. Could they actually break free?

Can anyone ID this queen?

Caught in the evening in Penang, Malaysia. She dropped her wings the next morning. Thank you people of Reddit for your identification skills 🥹

I saw this little cutie land on a table after heavy rain. It was grooming itself. Any chance it’s an ant queen? If yes, what species might it be? Location: Penang, Malaysia
