Why Stage 2 East Isn't Open Yet: The Story Behind the Delay

At first glance, Stage 2 East of Ottawa's O-Train looks ready to open. The stations are complete, trains have been testing for months, and construction appears to be finished.

So why can't passengers ride to Orléans yet?

In this video, we work backwards from opening day to explain every major milestone that still needs to happen before service can begin. We'll look at trial running, final preparations, and why the availability of the Alstom Citadis Spirit fleet has become the biggest factor delaying the next phase of the project.

---

Based on our tracking projections, we are roughly estimating (based on the current trend of trains returning) that they will have enough trains to start Trial Running in September.
