34M in the west of Ireland, little to no matches... Any advice?

Hi!

I am back trying my luck in the world of online dating (oh joy) and I have had very little luck with regards to matches. Is there anything blatantly wrong in my profile? Some few more bits of information:

-I have been back for about a month on the apps, similar success (or lack thereof across) all three main apps

-I am not paying for the app this time around (although I have in the past, without much more success)

-I send a mixture of both likes and personalised comments if I find something on the profile I can comment on

-I am looking for a monogamous long term relationship as detailed under my profile

-My dating radius is set to include the third and fourth largest cities in the country, but even then I have ran out of people a good few times...

Thank you in advance, and please be as harsh as you want - I most likely got something wrong somewhere 😂

34M French man based in Clare (Croissant not included), looking to build something long term - Reposting

Hi! Reposting this (with some added information and a picture of me messing around in the kitchen) as I am still to meet my person... I am hopelessly optimistic in this regard!

I am a 34 years old French man based in Clare for the past 10 years who is looking to meet an (obviously 😂) wonderful woman to hopefully build something long term with.

About me:

I would very much define myself as a nerd, be it in relation to my work (engineering) or my hobbies (music, roleplaying games, boardgames and reading).

Whilst I have long given up all hopes to play for county (and not only because of the accent), I do try to keep fit and go to a reformer pilates class once a week. I also walk quite a lot, so if you like small hikes, it is a good start! Sea swimming over the summer could also be considered.

Finally, as all French people, I am very much into my food and cooking - the stereotypes are true on this one! Whether it is at a coffee/brunch/restaurant date or at home (where I am VERY happy to do the cooking), you will not be starving!

About the person I would like to meet:

I would like to meet someone who has her own passions. Ideally, one or two of these would overlap some of my own, but I also very much believe in the importance of each person having their own activities, so I am definitely not looking for a carbon copy of myself!

I am also looking for someone who has her life together to some extent: a stable job, some friends, etc. I am hopefully looking to build something long term, and I have found it challenging in the past when dating people who were still figuring it out or at a different stage of their lives.

Age and location wise, I would ideally be looking for someone between 30 and 40 years old located anywhere between say Limerick, Galway and Athlone - I do like the idea of a midweek date if we are both free and the above are all within about 1h or so from me, which is sensible enough. However, if you think you are a perfect match to everything in this post besides this and you are only younger or older by one or two years or leaving slightly further away, please do contact me anyway! 😊

It's also important to note that I do not see myself moving to another country again - it took me years to build a life I am happy with, and I know from experience I would not be able to get into a relationship where I do not know whether our goals will align long term in this regard. Another part of Ireland could be fine though!

And finally the big one - about what I value/what I am looking for in a relationship:

I believe it is really important for a relationship to be built on equality, with both partners feeling valued and supported when they need it. Consistency, both in terms of communication and emotional support, is also key for me to build trust and feelings. As mentioned above, I also think it is good when each partner has their own free time - whether it is to spend with friends and family, or to nurture individual hobbies. A relationship should enrich your life, not define it!

Finally, on the topic of kids (which I know is a big one at our age), I do not have strong feelings either way - I am open to them if I find the right person and we reach this point in the relationship, but I would be equally happy if I reach the same point with someone who does not want them. Finding the right life partner is what matters to me the most at this point!

It also goes without saying from the above that I am not looking for any kind of short term relationship - there is no moral judgement there, I just know it is not for me 😊

So if the above sounds good to you, please send me a message so we can see if there could be more to us!

Hi!

I wanted to see if there would be any interest to set up a group in Clare to play some TTRPGs semi regularly (probably one shots only for now at least). I am happy to GM Dungeons and Dragons and am based in Ennis myself. I have already met a couple people interested in it so far, so I figured I may see if more are up for it! Mid week would probably be better for me, but I may also be free depending on the weekend.

Please also feel free to let me know if you know anywhere quiet which could host 1 or 2 tables (7-14 people) for a sensible fee!

Thanks in advance, and hopefully plenty of people will be interested in rolling some shiny math rocks!

[Edit] Just in case you are worried, there is no previous experience required and beginners will be more than welcome!
