Need streamers for documentary. How can I reach them?

Hello streaming community!

We are looking for some streamers with a somewhat large audience (50k+) for an interview for a documentary about absurdism in video games, gaming and streaming.

We managed to get some major indie game developers, top academics, and even YouTubers with 1kk+ subscribers... But with streamers, we got pretty much 0 results.

I suspect it's probably because they get bombarded with too much correspondence from fans, but don't have people/resources to help them get through it?..

What would be a good way?

  • Through the talent agents? They usually manage paid collabs only
  • Spamming them during streams? Sound plausible, but hard to time-wise (and few attempts I made went unnoticed in their chat)

What other options are there?

Probably should mention that we are not offering any commercial collaboration, just an opportunity to participate in a cool discussion with other people we have on board. Yet again - didn't have much trouble getting anyone else, but streamers seem completely unreachable...

Pixelated Albert Camus - does it work?

Our artist has made a pixelated version of Albert Camus. Does it work? :)
I feel he looks much younger than in the photo :D

Made a Godot-level for our Sisyphean Game :)

We are making the game about Sisyphus becoming a lifestreamer. And to make the game relatable, we are making different levels to represent different chores and jobs :)
This is the Godot one level :) You can check the second picture for the other level for comparison. Does it feel like game development?
The "error" and "warning" work as obstacles to jump over etc.:)

Shader dirt on top of hand-drawn pixels?

Hello!

I'm trying to get into shaders to add an extra layer of VFX on top of our hand-drawn pixel art. The reason is simple - we plan to have dozens of costumes, and we can'd draw all extra effects for each of them - that would be too crazy?

And this is pretty much my first time working with shaders. Do you think it works?

P.S.: Shader in question is dirt on top of Sisyphus. It's done with shader. Dust clouds / rocks are not shader, they are particle systems.

Sisyphean Crowd Play - a massive play event on a giant screen

Last Thursday, we participated in a "Giant Games Showcase" at Toronto Games Week, where our games were cast via a giant projector on a huge Canada Malting Silos. Huge cudos to TGW organizers!

With this opportunity, I couldn't resist turning it into a massive crowd-play event: we've added a QR code to the game, set up the server with a web form, and let people send comments into the game, "fake donations," and words to type.

The game is "Imagine Sisyphus Happy" - about Sisyphus becoming a live-streamer, so this layer of turning this casting into a live-stream, in a way, added an extra layer of fun :) And we plan to add this experience through Twitch integration, so that streamers can play with their audience (or non-streamers with their friends).

(The recorded audio was terrible, so I just replaced it with the game soundtrack)
