Taking a trip to the fall line in search of Bartram’s Bass. They were all colored up. Redeye season is winding down, so get out there while you can!

Day one with a stock pair of Backcountry’s saw five miles at Bald Rock Heritage Preserve in the Appalachian Mountains of South Carolina. I hike for a living leading groups of all ages from the mountains to the coast as our agency’s State Naturalist. Could not be more pleased with the heritage and fit of this boot.

Not my first pair of Russell boots, as I have five turkey seasons underneath a pair of 16” Turkey Hunters. The highest quality from top to bottom.

Rob from RMC demonstrated the best communication and customer service I could have hoped for. He assisted with size and use over many emails back and forth. Don’t hesitate on the stock boots. Mine arrived within five days of ordering and the quality is remarkable.

Now my only request…bring back the Turkey Hunters!

I came into possession of a vintage LC Smith 12-Gauge Double several years back. It’s been taken afield plenty and had the character marks as proof.

I’ve always wondered what the history and value of the gun was. Could anyone give an estimate or any additional information? If there is a better sub for this kind of question, please let me know!

I’m not sure there’s a more perfect duo than redeye bass and the rocky shoals spider lily. Both require rocky southern shoal habitat and clean water. Just perfect. One of South Carolina’s finest fish.

Up for sale is a Filson x Ebbets Field hat in a scarlet red color. Made in USA and before Ebbets Field sold out to Fanatics. It’s in excellent condition and only worn once, I just prefer more structured crowns. Nice leather strap with Filson’s brass buckle at the back.
